You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.   rsjaffe 🗣️ 02:05, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
why was a blocked indefinitely? that is severe Moscriptcallum (talk) 02:07, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I attempted to save my edit, but my Wi-Fi connection failed during the process. As a result, the page did not save correctly. I would like to retry the edit with a stable connection. Moscriptcallum (talk) 02:09, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
(Non-administrator comment) if you look at the history of Frank Tanti, I think you'll see what the issue is. blocks are preventative not punitive. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 02:16, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
then why not block me for a week or a month? why a permanently block? Moscriptcallum (talk) 02:21, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Indefinite only means there's no fixed term. You can be unblocked at any time, and I'm going to unblock you in a couple of minutes, but I want to talk with you first about how to avoid making a huge mess again. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 02:23, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
i believe indefinitely means forever. why are you unblocking me? Moscriptcallum (talk) 02:25, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
There were a huge number of edits to the page. To avoid that in the future:
1. before you save your edit, copy your changes to a notepad on your computer so you can recover it if things go wrong.
2. preview your changes.
3. save once. regardless of what error messages you get.
4. reload the page and look at it.
5. if it isn't what you expected, check the edit history. If it shows some new edits by you, I'd quit trying for now until you get a better connection. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 02:26, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

refactoring others talk page comments

edit

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. while it's fine to remove discussions in their entirety from your talk page, it's considered bad practice to change other editors comments. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 02:20, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Moscriptcallum, just to be clear, are you just making edits a small bit at a time because of your connection issues? otherwise, it looks at first glance like you're editing other's comments vs removing. would help if you use an edit summary for sure. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 02:55, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

can i save a edit summary? or does all my write up disappear if it doesn't publish? Moscriptcallum (talk) 02:56, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
i mean, if it doesn't save, there will be no edit to summarize. it's literally just a way to communicate to editors at a glance, what you changed, your intentions, etc. it's especially important when you're making incremental edits like you have been doing on your talk page. I see now that you were cleaning up the page, which is perfectly fine to do, but initially, it looked like you might have been changing other editors comments, which is generally frowned upon. does that make sense? -- Aunva6talk - contribs 16:37, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
