Request for wider editor involvement
edit@Rvsingh12, लॉस एंजिल्स लेखक, GangesCommander, Northern Moonlight, Gab4gab, Pasados, TSTSR241224, AX29, Karan.jr.Singh, and KhubsuratInsaan: — Requesting your attention to 2025 India–Pakistan conflict (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_India%E2%80%93Pakistan_conflict).
There has been limited editor involvement on the page, which has led to repeated disagreements and an edit war. Your review and input would help bring more balance and consensus to the discussion. Mohammad Handura (talk) 07:06, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Mohammad Handura I haven't edited this page. Why do you mention me? AX29 (talk) 08:24, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

Alert
editIntroduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

You need to put a reason for your unblock to be considered in the "your reason here" section of the appeal. CoconutOctopus talk 05:44, 25 August 2025 (UTC)

I understand that I was blocked for making edits that were considered disruptive. I sincerely apologize for any disruption I caused — that was never my intention. I now realize that some of my edits did not follow Wikipedia’s content and conduct guidelines.

This request doesn't explain what it was about your edits that was disruptive, so it doesn't doesn't give me confidence that you won't just do the same thing again. - As you acknowledge you were disruptive but state you had no intention to be disruptive, I'm not convinced you'd stop being disruptive if unblocked. --Yamla (talk) 12:25, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- Can you tell us, in your own words, what in your editing was disruptive, and what you intend to do differently if unblocked. Simply saying you won't do it again doesn't tell me whether you actually understand the issues or not. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:28, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
