Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Enzo Angles
edit
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Enzo Angles, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Qcne (talk) 17:57, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Major League Table Tennis Logo.png
edit
Thanks for uploading File:Major League Table Tennis Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:19, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Carolina Gold Rush (table tennis) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

- Thank you soooo much Mel496 (talk) 12:20, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Zackmann08. I noticed that you recently removed content from Nikhil Kumar (table tennis) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Sorry, thank you Mel496 (talk) 18:37, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- To be honest I meant to hit review and accidentally hit publish. Rookie mistake Mel496 (talk) 18:38, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
I have sent you a note about a page you started
editHi Mel496. Thank you for your work on Atlanta Blazers (table tennis). Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thank you for your work on this article. Please establish notability as per WP:NSPORT. Thanks and have a good day!
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

- @Mariamnei: Thank yoiu for your suggestion. I will fix it as soon as I resolve the issue of TheBirdsShedTears trying to remove my Major League Table Tennis page and the page associated with the leagues founder. Ive been accused of COI which just isn't so. I'm just a fan. Mel496 (talk) 23:42, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Mariamnei:I just made a minor edit hoping to improve notability as suggested Thank again Mel496 (talk) 23:49, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you! I think it now marginally meets notability. I would still encourage you to continue expanding it. Thanks and have a great day! Mariamnei (talk) 08:59, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- It’s an expansion team for MLTT so they only have one season under their belt but I think they meet notability because of their association with MLTT. Of course I’m relatively new at this, I maybe wrong, so any positive feedback back is welcomed. Perhaps a stub? Thanks again Mel496 (talk) 09:48, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Portland Paddlers moved to draftspace
editThanks for your contributions to Portland Paddlers. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it has no sources. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. • Quinn (talk) 09:48, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Disambiguation for table tennis teams
editWith the exception of Chicago Wind (table tennis) none of the teams require Wikipedia:Disambiguation as they are unique terms. And there is no ambiguity. You should review Wikipedia:Article titles. Most people looking for a team are going to get a hit as soon as they time in the teams name without adding " (table tennis)" Make it easier for the reader. - I disagree. The Princeton Revolution is often confused with the revolutionary battle and The Portland Paddlers are also a group of river rafting enthusiasts Mel496 (talk) 21:06, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- The Carolina Gold Rush is often confused with the first American gold rush of 1799 Mel496 (talk) 22:09, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- I saw that and I left that one at Carolina Gold Rush (table tennis) CambridgeBayWeather (#1 deranged), Uqaqatigijaa (talk), Huliva 14:35, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how Princeton Revolution and the Battle of Princeton can be confused but I've added a hat note. As for the Portland Paddlers I can't see any articles on Wikipedia with a similar name. There's no need to make life difficult for readers. CambridgeBayWeather (#1 deranged), Uqaqatigijaa (talk), Huliva 14:45, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Flint Lane
editJust noting that I've moved Draft:Flint Lane back to draft space. It looks like you're still experimenting there, and better sourcing is needed for BLPs - no PR/SEO and preferably independent sources. In the future, please do not remove 'citation needed' tags unless you're supplying a source. Sam Kuru (talk) 22:07, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- I added additional references and moved back to article . thanks for input Mel496 (talk) 22:23, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- would you mind taking another look and let me know if Ive improved the article enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated Mel496 (talk) 13:54, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

- As a fan and competitive table tennis player I decided to create some wiki pages for MLTT. Since Flint Lane is the commissioner of MLTT and it only made sense to create a page for him especially since there was already one created on Wikitia. I started creating these pages because the only MLTT page I could find was here https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Table_Tennis. It didn’t make sense that an American League only had a French wiki page. Mel496 (talk) 14:40, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
Drafts
editPlease note that pages in draftspace are not allowed to be filed in categories alongside finished articles in mainspace, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT, and pages in your personal sandbox are not allowed to be filed in categories alongside finished articles in articlespace, per WP:USERNOCAT. Any page in either draft or sandbox space must stay out of categories while it's in development, and may be added to categories only if and when it's been moved into articlespace.
Over the past couple of weeks, however, I've had to pull pretty close to a dozen of your draft or sandbox pages out of Category:Table tennis in the United States or other related categories, including at least one of them twice.
So you need to keep draft and sandbox pages out of categories, because unfinished content outside of articlespace isn't allowed to be in categories. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 13:34, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

I'm your very own mentor!
editHello, Mel496, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm MWFwiki and I've volunteered to be your Wikipedia mentor. I'm here for you whenever you need help with Wikipedia. It's great to have you on board to help create this online encyclopedia.

See your homepage for a brief tutorial. Here are a few links you might find helpful:
Need some ideas about what kind of things need doing? Try the "Suggested edits" module top left on your homepage, or the Task Center.
Help is available: as your Mentor, you can always find me listed in the "Get editing help" module bottom right on your homepage; there are also additional help links there. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or try the Wikipedia:Teahouse to get help designed especially for new users from a team of experienced volunteers. So go ahead and ask questions — we're here to help!
Everything above is a pre-written, automatic message, but this is just to verify that I have "claimed" you as a mentee. Obviously, this is a relatively informal process, but if you wish to be given "assignments" and have work reviewed by me, let me know. Regardless and otherwise, I hope you stick-around Wikipedia. You clearly have a lot to offer and once you get over some of the hurdles it's genuinely quite fun. I, personally, never imagined participating (certainly not to the extent I have) but it has become - for better or for worse - one of the more important hobbies in my life. I think that part is key... not only does editing become enjoyable, but it does feel impactful, at least to an extent. — MWFwiki (talk) 19:14, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

A Barnstar for you!
edit| The Excellent New Editor's Barnstar A new editor on the right path | ||
| Regardless of what happens with the MLTT article I am genuinely impressed with you, your editing, and your general attitude. I know editing can be a bit overwhelming at first — sometimes even frustrating or annoying — but remember that that systems and policies are in-place for a reason and that this is an important website. A very important website, I would argue. I genuinely hope you stick-around and help make said website a better place.Anyways, please accept this Barnstar as a token of my appreciation for your work thus far and your willingness to learn. — MWFwiki (talk) 23:26, 29 April 2026 (UTC) |
- Oh man, thank you so much. I haven’t quit, I’m learning! I’m going over a few ideas I want to explore. I’ll run them past you when The MLTT article gets resolved. Mel496 (talk) 23:30, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
