Inline citations

edit

Hi Marc,

I thought it might be helpful to drop a short explanation of how to add inline citations.

To add citations, click on the button that looks like two apostrophes.

Choose "manual", then choose:

  • "news" for newspaper
  • "journal" for journals and magazines
  • "book" for books, and
  • "website" for all other pages.

You have to insert a title for the article, book, or page. But, at a minimum, you should also add the last name and first name of the author, the source date or year of publication, the url, the access date (for url), the page number that is the source of the information, the publisher of the book or the name of the newspaper, journal, magazine or website.

If you have something that's not any of those, you can add the source as a basic reference, in the following formula:

Author Last name, First name. Year of publication. Title of publication. Place of publication: Publisher. Month, Day.

Thank you again very much, Mme Maigret. Your knowledge and experience is greatly valued. I don't find this to be easy, and getting your advice is so much appreciated.
