Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Grayfell (talk) 07:18, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello, I'm Manticore. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Saw (franchise) in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.Manticore 00:01, 14 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hi ManhuntFan! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Saw (franchise) and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Manticore 20:29, 8 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring on Saw (franchise)

edit

Information icon Hi ManhuntFan! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore your preferred version of an article. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. Thank you.

Specifically, it appears that you are on a bit of a mission to ensure that America is represented in the introductory lines for films, companies and the like, but not other countries. In contrast, you seem pretty persistent in removing references to other countries in the introductory lines for other articles. I'm wondering why you are doing this? I am happy to pull up some examples from your editing if that would help the discussion, but I am keen to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thanks. — Manticore 03:34, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Separately, I have created a talk page discussion which you may wish to contribute to rather than continuing to revert to your preferred version of the article. You can participate here: Talk:Saw (franchise)#Nationality. — Manticore 03:39, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Saw (franchise). This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Manticore 01:24, 10 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, you may be blocked from editing. Manticore 22:22, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring again

edit

Hey ManhuntFan. I see you are edit warring again on Saw (franchise) despite repeated warnings, attempts to communicate with you regarding your changes, and you clearly understanding that others disagree with your changes. Please feel free to contribute to the talk page discussion at Talk:Saw_(franchise)#Nationality. You've had enough warnings, which you don't seem to be heeding, so the next time you engage in edit warring on this article, I'll be reporting you to WP:ANI/EW. — Manticore 02:32, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Saw: Genesis moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Saw: Genesis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it has no sources. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back.  Quinn (talk  it/its) 00:29, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
