== Response to sourcing concern ==
Thank you for the note. I've revised the article to address this — the references are now predominantly independent newspaper coverage rather than organisation-sourced material:
  • The Tribune (2019, 2020, 2023 ×2, 2024) and The Nassau Guardian (2020 ×2, 2021, 2022, 2025) provide multi-year third-party coverage across two separate publications
  • The Esports Insider piece on the CEFA founding is international industry press, independent of the subject
  • Tournament result articles (Lucius at IESF 2023, Eric Bain at Pan Am Esports Championships, Crush Counter Showdown) report verifiable results rather than subject-provided claims
  • Membership status is confirmed by the International Esports Federation, Esports Integrity Commission, and Global Esports Federation directly
I've removed claims that rested solely on quotes from the subject where no independent corroboration exists. Some remaining quotes in the sources are standard journalistic practice (interviewing the president of an organisation about the organisation) rather than self-sourcing. Happy to discuss any specific citations that still concern you. — MOARCookies (talk) 15:03, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't really understand what you're saying, or how it shows notability. Please do not use LLMs to communicate on Wikipedia. -- NotCharizard 🗨 15:36, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The Tribune and Nassau Guardian (national newspapers) have covered BESF multiple times over six years, not just quoting the BESF, but covering the tournament results and international appearances independently. The Esports Insider article on the CEFA founding is international press. I added those sources to the article. Does that address the concern? MOARCookies (talk) 00:02, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
