Information icon Hello, I'm MCE89. An edit that you recently made seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is not allowed on Wikipedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or ask your questions at the Teahouse, a friendly place for new users. Thanks. Hi Logandi293 — please have a read of WP:NOLLM and note that the use of AI to generate or rewrite article content is not allowed on Wikipedia, with the only exceptions being for certain translations and for simple copyediting. Your use of AI tools in your edits on Energy in Egypt and Fishing industry in Egypt clearly went well beyond checking for grammatical errors. MCE89 (talk) 11:45, 22 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I always cite the sources Logandi293 (talk) 11:48, 22 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's good that you're citing sources, but those sources often don't support the claims that you are making. To give just one example, you've cited for the claim Initial results showed a survival rate of approximately 25% during the first 60 days of larval development, when the source doesn't say anything like that at all. This is common with AI models, which have a tendency to hallucinate. You can see WP:LLMS for more on why content generated with AI is not suitable for Wikipedia. What you need to do instead is read the sources yourself, summarise their ideas in your own words without using LLMs, and then cite the source for that information in the article. I apologize. I forgot to cite the other source I used. Please recheck it now Logandi293 (talk) 12:00, 22 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Well, that does partially resolve the failed verification issue, but now that you've added that source to the article I can see that significant parts of your edits are actually direct translations of that source. For instance, compare the text from your edit (left) to a machine translation of the source (right):
Mullet fish are considered one of the more difficult species to breed artificially because of their complex biological cycle and sensitivity to environmental conditions. For decades, production depended almost entirely on naturally collected fry. For this reason, the success of the experiment is regarded as a significant scientific and industrial breakthrough rather than a routine technical improvement.
+
Mullet is one of the species that is difficult to breed artificially compared to other species due to the nature of its biological cycle and its sensitivity to environmental conditions, which has made its production throughout the past years linked to natural fry. Therefore, the success of the experiment represents an important scientific and productive breakthrough, not just an ordinary technological development.
