Horn's Scanian campaign

edit

Do you mind if I work on Draft:Horn's Scanian campaign? I figured I'd ask since it's your draft. Gvssy (talk) 20:54, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Nah, you can work on it. Regarding Vessberg's book (which is the most extensive work on Horn's campaign), you can find it here at LIBRIS. I've also linked the other sources I planned to use in the Bibliography part. LocalF15 (talk) 21:20, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! Especially for Vessberg's book, I had tried to find it earlier to no avail. Gvssy (talk) 23:46, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi LocalF15, regarding this edit, the first/last name sections in the citation are for the names of individual authors. So, for example, you replaced "agency = Associated Press" with what looks like "first name = Associated, last name = Press" DiodotusNicator (talk) 07:52, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I see. I guess you can restore the previous revision then. Unless it has been updated (?) LocalF15 (talk) 07:55, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Avoiding an edit war

edit

Hi LocalF15, you hadn't been informed about this before; standardized advice follows. See also: WP:DISCFAIL, a very helpful essay.

Information icon Hi LocalF15! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of an article. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. Thank you.

Regarding the currently-open thread at WP:ANEW, you should have been notified by the reporter using {{an3-notice}} and you were unaware of the policy, so the resolution is only a warning ().

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:28, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I was curious if you had access to Striden om Jämtland by Birger Steckzén, since you put it in the bibliography on your draft, Jämtland campaigns (1644–1645). I believe it discusses a campaign I'm going to write about (Henrik Fleming's expedition to Jämtland) and I haven't been able to find a copy of it myself. Thanks! Gvssy (talk) 12:33, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I do, yeah. His article is public domain where I'm from but I'm not sure how I can send it to you. Any ideas, then? LocalF15 (talk) 12:58, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is it on a website? Gvssy (talk) 13:08, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, Google Books. I assume you aren't able to view or download it, correct? I might be able to send a PDF on Discord or Wikimedia. LocalF15 (talk) 13:25, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, can't view it. I'll add you on Discord when I'm home if that works. Gvssy (talk) 13:28, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good LocalF15 (talk) 14:47, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
