Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Phaedon Avouris, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 15:21, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
Specifically, please see MOS:CAPS - Wikipedia generally uses sentence case ("Awards and honours," not "Awards and Honours"). Also, please see MOS:OVERLINK. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 15:21, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

Changing quotes and spellings
editI see that in the article Philip III of Spain you changed the spelling of a word in a quote from Magdalena Sánchez from "skillful" to "skilful". Magdalena Sánchez did actually use the spelling "skillful", so changing it was a mistake: a quote should be what the quoted person wrote, not what you or I would prefer them to have written. Also, even in cases where words are not part of a quotation, when there are two alternative accepted spellings of a word, Wikipedia's manual of style normally prefers one not to change from one spelling to another merely because it is one's personal preference. Changes should be made only where there is a definite reason for doing so, the commonest being that in an article on a subject related to a particular country it makes sense to use a spelling which is normal in that country; thus, for example, if you see "colour" in the article California then it is reasonable to replace it with "color".
