Promotion of List of BBC National Short Story Award winners

edit
Congratulations, Il lupa! The list you nominated, List of BBC National Short Story Award winners, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 20:01, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for helping us improve citations on Wikipedia and sharing your expertise with others at the GELA x Wikimedia Canada citation workshop! Although we didn't have tons of time for editing or questions that needed answering, I appreciated all of your help.

Hi Il lupa. Thank you for your work on List of British suffragists and suffragettes. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this list, consistent with the other country articles in Category:Lists of suffragists.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Free School Lane, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pembroke Street. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Stale draft

edit

Information iconHello, Il lupa, I saw that you made a draft for a new article at User:Il lupa/sandbox/Émilienne Mopty and User:Il lupa/sandbox/Corinne Bouchoux. Short term hosting of potentially valid articles and other reasonable content under development or in active use is usually acceptable. But in this case, you haven't edited your draft for a long time. If you wish to improve the draft yourself, please do. Otherwise, you may consider donating it to WikiProject Abandoned Drafts (a participant can help). Thank you. Legend of 14 (talk) 17:11, 26 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

The World Destubathon

edit

You are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. It's currently planned for June 16-July 13, partly due to me having hayfever during that period and not wanting to run it throughout July or August in the hotter summer and will be run then unless multiple editors object. There is currently $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. As 250 countries and entities is too much to patrol, entries will be by user, but there is $500 going into prizes for editors covering the most countries. Sign up if interested! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:26, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 18 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

Thanks for your lightning talk on Cambs plaques at the uk wikimedia thing last weekend! Very cool! Just wanted to say I'm also local (I live in Cambridge), and potentially happy to lend a hand with plaquery if needed. I'm mostly working on wikidata atm, trying to improve coverage in globally-underrepresented bits of the world, but I'm an ex-historian with a general interest in local history. In the past we've occasionally had Cambridge meetups, though they may have fallen into abeyance. I see from above you already know of User:Charles Matthews. Dsp13 (talk) 14:00, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Dsp13 I'm glad you liked the lightning talk! If you have the time, I will always appreciate help with recording the plaques in Cambridgeshire. More of them seem to pop up every day. You can see the areas I have/have not covered here Il lupa (talk) 11:51, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
