Icons?

Gvihar, I'm curious about the icons on your userpage. You have added icons for administrator and extended confirmed users, file mover, etc, but I don't think you fall under those categories. It would probably be best if you didn't post the icons for user groups that you don't actually qualify for yet. Joyous! Noise! 12:22, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Please don’t worry I’m not doing anything wrong, and I’ve always written the truth. Alright, I won’t post that again in the future. But even before this, I have helped modify over 500 articles, and I am not in the wrong. Gvihar (talk) 12:51, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
Have you had an account previously @Gvihar? You need to remove the categories as they don't apply to you. Knitsey (talk) 12:55, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I worked on that account 4 years ago, and I no longer have access to it — please don’t doubt me. I have 16 years of experience, and you can trust me. I will never do anything that would violate the rules. I am fully committed to working honestly on Wikipedia. Gvihar (talk) 13:05, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I will continue doing this, and we will keep discussing to add new and accurate information. I will always coordinate with you. I feel that you have more experience than me, and I look forward to learning from you. Gvihar (talk) 13:08, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I'm asking you nicely to remove misleading categories. You are not an admin and you don't have rollback, you are not a reviewer, you do not have pending changes reviewerand so on. Knitsey (talk) 13:10, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I have deleted it, so you can rest assured. Gvihar (talk) 13:15, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
Thank you Gvihar, that is appreciated. Can I suggest you remove the other two categories as you have not applied for those rights nor been granted them. Knitsey (talk) 13:18, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I have deleted everything. Please tell me which categories I should add now. Gvihar (talk) 13:30, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
Thanks Gvihar, that's much better. The reason we ask for the removal is that it is seen as dishonest. I realise you may have earned those rights on a previous account, but we have no way of knowing that. Just don't add anything that doesn't apply to this new account. Good luck with editing. Don't forget to check out the Teahouse if you have any questions. Knitsey (talk) 13:44, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
I really liked your suggestion, you’re absolutely right. Thank you Gvihar (talk) 13:47, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Satadhar

Satadhar is a beautiful religious place established by Saint Apagiga, located on the banks of the Ambazhar River, about 7 kilometers south of Visavadar town in Junagadh district of Gujarat state, in the western part of India, on the way to Sasan Gir.

Place

Today, the Gir forest has receded far from this place. Even the wide, dry bed of the ever-flowing Ambazhar River seems to be bearing the burden of a man-made water crisis. There was a time when the Gir forest stretched all the way to Bilkha and even up to Bagasara (Bhayani). The clear waters of the Ozat, Ambazhar, Shingwada, and Saraswati rivers used to flow along both banks. Amidst this nature, once surrounded by roaring lions and the calls of peacocks, Saint Apagiga built a small sanctuary at this place named Satadhar (formed from 'Sat' meaning truth and 'Adhar' meaning support). He also started an 'Annakshetra' (community kitchen) to serve food to the hungry and to care for cows—a service that continues unceasingly even today.

Saint Shri Apa Giga

Saint Apagiga was born to a woman from the Gadheyi community, who had been abandoned by the world. His father's name was Alibhai and his mother was Surai, though later Apadana renamed her Lakhu, by which she became known. During a terrible famine in the Sorath region, Alibhai left the pregnant Surai behind and went to another land with his cattle. When Surai set out to seek shelter with her relatives, she gave birth to a son in the village of Shapur along the way. She named him Gigo. The mother and son eventually reached Chalala, but the famine’s grip was so harsh that even her own relatives turned her away.

At that time, Apadana had established an ashram in Chalala to help people survive the calamity. Surai and Gigo found refuge there. Apadana raised Gigo like his own son, and the mother and child dedicated their lives at the feet of Daanbapu (Apadana).

As time passed, talks of Gigo’s marriage began in the nearby village of Sarambhada. But Gigo, chosen by the divine, had no attachment to worldly life. From this detachment emerged Saint Apagiga."**

Let me know if you'd like this rewritten in a storytelling style or used in a biography or brochure.

Thus, Apagiga spent his days in Chalala serving cows, lifting cow dung patties, and constantly chanting the names of God and his guru, Apadana. As time passed, this continued for many years. One day, Saint Apavisaaman from the holy place of Paliyad came as a guest to Chalala. He would daily observe Giga in his humble service of cows and dung work.

One day, Apavisaaman told Apadana, ‘Now it is time to lift this burden from Giga and place your sacred hand (blessing) upon him.’ That day, both saints called Giga. Apadana removed the dung bundle from Giga’s back, and at that moment, Giga bowed at his Guru’s feet. Apadana then placed his divine hand on Giga’s head.

A while later, Apadana summoned Giga and instructed him to establish a new place. Tears welled up in Giga’s eyes, and he asked his guru, ‘Have I committed any fault that you ask me to go elsewhere?’ With a smile, Apadana replied,

‘Giga, you will surpass even me. You will be known as the Pir (saint) of the West. People of all castes and communities will bow to you. You will be worshipped as a revealed Pir. Serve the divine cow Kamdhenu, the poor, and the unannounced guests who arrive at your doorstep. Wherever the fragrance of incense from your hearth reaches, people will find peace. And you shall raise the flag of righteousness.’

Thus, Apagiga bowed at the feet of his Guru, Apadana, and tearfully bid farewell, sweeping the ground of the place and weeping deeply. He left Chalala with 108 cows, and for some time, remained nearby in Chalala itself, living in a small hut. There, he began a continuous offering of simple meals—lentils and rotla (flatbread)—for all.

After staying there for a while, he set out again with his cows, wandering from place to place, until he reached the bank of the Ambazhar River—the spot where Satadhar stands today. There, he built a hut and established a sacred gateway for the place.

Many stories of miracles are interwoven with the life of Apagiga. The hut he built became known as Satadhar (meaning 'Support of Truth'), and today, its fame has spread far and wide. The tradition of offering free meals and welcoming guests with honor and hospitality, started by Apagiga, continues unbroken to this day.

Saint Tradition

After Apagiga, his disciple Karman Bhagat ascended the seat (spiritual leadership) of Satadhar. He was succeeded by Rambapu, Jadavbapu, Haribapu, Harjivanbapu, and then Laxmanbapu. Shri Laxmanbapu was also a revered saint who led Satadhar for 32 years. After him, his disciple, the great saint Shri Shamjibapu, took over the seat and served as Mahant (head saint) of Satadhar for 31 years. Satadhar gained its greatest recognition and fame under Shamjibapu's leadership.

He had come to Satadhar at the young age of five. His guru, Laxmanbapu, raised him and later anointed him with the ceremonial tilak, placing him on the spiritual seat. Over time, Satadhar and Shamjibapu became synonymous.

At one point, during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, saints from across India honored Shamjibapu by seating him atop an elephant and holding a grand procession in his honor—an honor rarely bestowed upon any saint.

In 1983, at the age of 78, Shamjibapu attained Mahasamadhi (left his mortal body). Without any attachment to power or status, he anointed Jivrajbapu as his successor during his lifetime, with the ceremonial tilak. Today, Jivrajbapu holds the position of Mahant at Satadhar, upholding its prestige and spiritual significance with great respect and dignity.

Temples and Dharamshalas

At the Satadhar spiritual site, there is a Hanuman temple, a Shiva temple, the samadhi shrine of Saint Apagiga, and also the samadhis (memorial shrines) of other Mahants (spiritual heads) who have led the place. Just as at Shri Nathji Dada's spiritual site near Kalavad in Danidhar, where the flag is ceremoniously hoisted by the Gurjar Rajput Chauhan clan to which Nathji Dada belonged, similarly, at Satadhar, the flag is hoisted every year on the auspicious day of Ashadhi Beej by members of the Gadheyi community, as Saint Apagiga belonged to that community.

A key highlight of Satadhar is its vast kitchen and impressive guesthouse facilities. The kitchen is equipped to prepare meals for over 3,000 people at a time. Additionally, the guesthouse, named Shyam Bhavan in honor of Brahmaleen (eternally liberated) Shri Shamjibapu, has the capacity to comfortably accommodate 3,000 to 4,000 guests overnight. Until 1983, the rooms were organized according to community/caste distinctions.

Behind the spiritual site flows the Ambazhar River. Along its banks, Shri Shamjibapu had constructed a ghat (stepped riverbank), a garden, and a sacred kund (pond). Made from stone sourced from Rajula, this ghat reminds one of the holy riverbanks of Haridwar, Prayagraj, or Varanasi. He named it Lakshmanghat in honor of his Guru. A lotus pond and a beautiful garden on the opposite bank have been developed, offering a serene and refreshing view to all visitors.

Festivals

This sacred site is frequently visited by pilgrims, especially those undertaking the circumambulation (parikrama) of Girnar in Junagadh or those on pilgrimage routes. A large number of them come to Satadhar for darshan (spiritual visit). Additionally, many travelers heading toward Sasan Gir and Somnath also stop here in great numbers.

Important religious festivals celebrated here include Ashadhi Beej, Bhadarvi Amas, Kartik Purnima, Diwali Padvo, and the entire month of Shravan, all observed with great devotion and significance.

Surrounded by natural beauty, this spiritually uplifting site offers peace to the mind and soul.

In his divine court, there’s no difference ‘twixt king and beggar known;
His speech holds the wisdom of the Vedas four, his virtues ever shown.
By Ambazhar’s flowing stream, pure as sacred water clear,
Waves the flag of dharma bright—Gigo Pir has now appeared.

On Sorath’s blessed, radiant land, where Gir's wild echoes roar,
In holy Satadhar’s every grain, shines Gigo Pir evermore.

Blue Light Bandits

The Blue Light Bandits, also known as blue light gangs, are criminal groups operating in South Africa who impersonate police officers or other law enforcement officials to commit various crimes. These crimes primarily include robbery, vehicle hijacking, kidnapping, and other violent acts, often targeting motorists and sometimes tourists.[1] The term refers to multiple unrelated criminal syndicates employing similar tactics, with significant activity reported in provinces such as Gauteng and Mpumalanga.[2] The gangs typically use vehicles fitted with unauthorized blue flashing lights to simulate an official police presence and induce victims to stop.

Method of operation

Blue Light Bandits employ a consistent modus operandi that generally involves the following tactics:

  • Police impersonation: Perpetrators often wear full or partial police uniforms, including vests marked "POLICE," or other apparel resembling that of law enforcement personnel to appear legitimate.[2]
  • Vehicle modification: Civilian vehicles, frequently models such as Volkswagen Polos, Ford Rangers, or Toyota Hilux bakkies, are illicitly equipped with blue flashing lights and sometimes sirens to mimic official police or traffic vehicles.[3]
  • Fraudulent traffic stops: Using these modified vehicles and blue lights, the criminals signal motorists to pull over, often selecting highways or more isolated roads to minimize witnesses and ease escape.[3]
  • Armed coercion: Once a victim has stopped, the assailants, typically armed with firearms, approach the vehicle to overpower and control the occupants.[4]
  • Robbery and extortion: Victims are robbed of cash, mobile phones, bank cards, and other valuables. In many instances, victims are kidnapped and forced to withdraw funds from ATMs over extended periods, sometimes several hours, while the criminals use their bank cards.[4][1]
  • Violence and intimidation: Perpetrators often resort to physical violence, including assault, and make death threats or threats of other serious harm (such as sexual assault) to ensure compliance from their victims.[4][1]

Notable incidents

Mpumalanga Province

Sean Stephens kidnapping (January 2024)

A widely publicized incident occurred on January 6, 2024, involving Canadian businessman Sean Stephens, CEO of the digital marketing company Treefrog. Stephens, his two teenage children (Trinity, 18, and Kai, 15), his mother Heather, and a 12-year-old girl his mother had adopted, were kidnapped in Mbombela (formerly Nelspruit), Mpumalanga province.[5][4]

The family was returning from Eswatini, where they had visited a children's home as part of Heather Stephens' missionary work. After stopping at a petrol station, their vehicle was pulled over by armed men in a pickup truck using blue flashing lights.[5][1] The assailants, posing as police officers and wearing vests with "POLICE" markings, assaulted Sean Stephens with a pistol and forced the family into the criminals' vehicle. They were driven to a remote wooded area near a cliff, robbed of their belongings, and forced to provide bank card PINs under threats of death and sexual assault.[4][1]

The Stephens family was then held in the covered bed of a pickup truck for approximately three hours while the perpetrators drove to various locations to withdraw money from their bank accounts using the stolen cards. After the accounts were emptied, the family was released in the Masoyi area outside Mbombela.[1] Sean Stephens sustained a concussion during the attack, and the family reported losses of approximately $10,000 in cash and belongings. His mother's charity also suffered financial losses due to the robbery.[4] Stephens and his children returned to Canada on January 8, 2024.[4]

The South African Police Service (SAPS) launched an investigation. According to Stephens, police informed him that the same group was suspected of attempting similar kidnappings the previous day and had committed other kidnappings before and after his family's ordeal.[6] Following the incident, Stephens stated he would not return to South Africa.[7]

Other incidents (January 2024)

During the same period as the Stephens kidnapping, other similar incidents were reported in Mpumalanga:

  • On January 8, 2024, a Dutch couple was reportedly stopped in Hazyview by suspects in a white double-cab bakkie equipped with flashing blue lights. They were subsequently kidnapped and robbed.[8]
  • Also on January 8, 2024, four friends traveling between Standerton and Trichardt were stopped by individuals in a white VW Polo displaying blue lights. They were kidnapped, and the assailants withdrew money from their bank accounts.[8]

Deadly confrontations

Blue Light Bandit activities have led to fatal encounters:

  • In June 2021, on the R50 road near Delmas, a motorist driving a Toyota Hilux Double Cab engaged in a shootout with two suspected Blue Light Bandits who were attempting to hijack him. The motorist fatally shot both suspects but succumbed to his own injuries. The suspects were found in possession of police face masks and reflector jackets.[9]
  • In April 2024, three suspected Blue Light Bandits were killed during a high-speed chase and subsequent shootout with a multidisciplinary police team on the N3 highway near Grootvlei, Mpumalanga. The gang was allegedly responsible for at least six blue light hijackings in the preceding two weeks.[10][11]

Police corruption cases

Incidents of police officers being involved in Blue Light Bandit activities have been documented. In March 2025, four suspects, including two serving SAPS officers, were arrested in Gauteng in connection with blue light robberies. eNCA reported that the officers were implicated after being captured on camera during a truck hijacking. The investigation also led to the arrest of two civilian accomplices found in possession of firearms and signal jamming devices.[12][13]

Targeted vehicles

Law enforcement and private security reports indicate that Blue Light Bandits often target specific types of vehicles, although any vehicle can be at risk. Commonly targeted models include:[3]

Law enforcement response

South African authorities, primarily the South African Police Service (SAPS), have undertaken various measures to address crimes committed by Blue Light Bandits:

  • Specialized Task Forces: Multidisciplinary teams are often formed, comprising members from SAPS Crime Intelligence, Tactical Response Teams, Highway Patrol, and other specialized units, sometimes in collaboration with private security companies.[2]
  • Arrests and Operations: Numerous operations have led to the arrest of suspects and the dismantling of blue light syndicates.
   * Three suspects were arrested on the West Rand in November 2021.[14]
   * Three individuals impersonating police were arrested in the North West province in July 2023, found with a Ford Ranger fitted with blue lights.[15]
   * As mentioned, three suspects were killed in a shootout on the N3 in April 2024.[11]
   * Four suspects, including two police officers, were arrested in Gauteng in March 2025.[13]
   * Two suspects linked to over 30 hijackings on the N3 were arrested in March 2025.[16]
  • Public Awareness and Advisories: SAPS and security groups have issued public guidance for motorists who suspect they are being stopped by bogus police:
   * Acknowledge the signal to stop (e.g., by using turn signals or hazard lights).
   * Reduce speed but proceed cautiously to a well-lit, public area, such as a petrol station or a police station, before stopping.
   * If possible, contact emergency services (e.g., 10111) or a security company to verify the legitimacy of the stop or request assistance.
   * Try to observe and remember details of the suspicious vehicle and its occupants.

SAPS has indicated that over 300 suspects linked to kidnappings, many involving blue light tactics, were arrested in the two years preceding early 2024.[8]

Broader context

The Blue Light Bandit phenomenon is part of the larger issue of high crime rates in South Africa. The country has reported a significant number of kidnappings, with some sources referring to it as having one of the highest rates in Africa (9.57 kidnappings per 100,000 inhabitants as of 2023, according to a Daily Maverick report).[17]

Several factors are considered to contribute to the persistence of these crimes:

  • Accessibility of Police Equipment: There have been reports and concerns about how criminals acquire police uniforms, blue lights, and other official insignia. Some sources suggest these items may be stolen, sold by corrupt individuals, or that official procurement processes have been compromised. A Wikipedia article on "Crime in South Africa," citing other sources, notes that between 2018 and 2020, insufficient funds for new police uniforms coincided with some official items being found in the possession of hijackers.[18]
  • Low Crime Detection Rates: The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) has previously highlighted low crime detection rates in South Africa (around 12.5% according to one report mentioned by Daily Maverick), suggesting that many perpetrators may evade prosecution.[19]
  • Involvement of Corrupt Officials: The documented participation of active police officers in Blue Light Bandit operations severely undermines public trust in law enforcement and complicates efforts to combat these syndicates.[13]
  • Identified Hotspots: Certain routes have become particularly notorious for Blue Light Bandit activity, including:
   * The N3 between Villiers and Heidelberg
   * The R23 road between Heidelberg and Balfour
   * The R50 road near Delmas
   * Major roads in Mpumalanga, particularly around Mbombela and Hazyview.[8][3]

Information icon Hi Gvihar! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Prime Healthcare and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you.  rsjaffe 🗣️ 20:59, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello rsjaffe,
Thank you for your message. I would like to clarify that I have not made any paid edits. I am not receiving any compensation, directly or indirectly, for my contributions.
I only made edits to correct and update inaccurate or outdated information, which I believed would improve the article. I understand now that marking such edits as "minor" was not appropriate, and I will be more careful about that in the future. Gvihar (talk) 21:16, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
Have you been soliciting paid editing jobs? — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:25, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
No, I added a Yahoo News source reference while editing. I understand now. First, I should have discussed the article with the admins and on the talk page, and then proceeded with your guidance. I will keep this in mind going forward, and I will discuss with you first. I will publish only when the admins have given their approval. Gvihar (talk) 22:51, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
Ok, I will help you, let it be. From now on, I will add the sources for any article on the correct page. I will publish it only if the community approves it; otherwise, I won’t do anything. I am just giving suggestions. Gvihar (talk) 21:28, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

Administrators: if this block includes a Volunteer Response Team ticket number, this block was placed as part of the conflict of interest VRT queue and the user must not be unblocked without the express consent of a user with access to the queue.

This is a COI VRT block, based on information communicated to the COI volunteer response team queue. I am not allowed by policy and nondisclosure agreements to disclose the specific information provided, but that information is at direct odds with your claims here that you are not a paid editor. You may request unblock as described above, but a limited number of people have access to it so that may take time; you may also appeal to the Arbitration Committee. 331dot (talk) 09:52, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hello, I have learned that my account was blocked for undisclosed paid editing, but I would like to clarify that this was not a paid request. A friend suggested that I help edit some articles, and I believed I was adding correct and genuine information with proper sources, without any bad intentions.

I sincerely apologize for not being aware of Wikipedia’s policies, and I now understand that I should have read the Terms of Use and the paid editing and conflict of interest guidelines carefully before editing.
I promise that from now on:
- I will not edit any articles based on requests from others without following the rules.
- I will only add information from reliable sources, focusing on neutrality.
- If I need to edit any article, I will first discuss it on the talk page and seek guidance.
- I will fully follow Wikipedia’s Terms of Use and community guidelines in all future edits.
I kindly request you to please consider unblocking my account. I truly wish to contribute positively to Wikipedia and will never repeat this mistake in the future.
Thank you for your time and understanding. Gvihar (talk) 12:40, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Accept reason:

As you have now complied with the Terms of Use, I will remove the block. I strongly advise you to, before editing about a topic, disclose your connection to it. If you fail to disclosed paid editing again, you may not get another chance. 331dot (talk) 13:43, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

Gvihar (talk) 12:40, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Ok, I will help you, let it be. From now on, I will add the sources for any article on the correct page. I will publish it only if the community approves it; otherwise, I won’t do anything. I am just giving suggestions. Gvihar (talk) 21:28, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

For some reason you butchered and rearranged the posts before making your request; I fixed this so the order makes sense. You may remove most content from this page, but please do not rearrange it. 331dot (talk) 16:17, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Again, your claims of not being a paid editor are at direct odds with the information that I have seen. It is not a close call. 331dot (talk) 16:23, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing the post order, and I apologize for mistakenly rearranging it. I understand your concern regarding paid editing, and I sincerely apologize for my actions. I will not engage in any paid or undisclosed editing in the future and will fully follow Wikipedia’s policies. I kindly request you to please consider unblocking my account so I can contribute positively and only add information from reliable sources while maintaining neutrality. Thank you for your time and understanding. Gvihar (talk) 20:07, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
Please disclose the paid editing you have already engaged in, as you should have done already. 331dot (talk) 20:26, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
I apologize for my mistake. I did not know it was considered paid editing, and I promise it will never happen again. Please kindly consider unblocking my account so I can contribute positively. Gvihar (talk) 02:55, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
I apologize for not disclosing before. I edited a one articles for a friend, thinking I was just helping, and did not receive payment. I now understand this should have been disclosed and I promise to follow the rules strictly. Gvihar (talk) 03:02, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
I do not think that one word of this statement is accurate based on the information that I have seen. I really have nothing else to add, someone will review your request. 331dot (talk) 08:40, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
I accept that I engaged in paid editing as suggested to me. I sincerely apologize and promise that I will never do paid or undisclosed editing again. From now on, I will only work on Wikipedia suggestions and assigned topics, strictly following all policies. Gvihar (talk) 09:34, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
I promise to you that this will never happen again, and I will work only under your and Wikipedia’s guidelines with 100% commitment; I kindly request you to please consider unblocking my account so I can contribute positively and learn from you and this wonderful community. Gvihar (talk) 09:52, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
You don't need to promise that you will never do paid editing again; you just need to disclose any paid editing that you have done, and do so in the future for new clients. Per policy this includes editing your user page(or in the interim, this page) to link to any websites where you offer paid editing services. 331dot (talk) 09:57, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying the paid editing policy. I understand that I need to disclose any paid editing I have done and will ensure to disclose it for all future clients. I will also update my user page (or this page) with links to any websites where I offer paid editing services, as required.
I sincerely apologize for not understanding this requirement earlier, and it was not my intention to violate Wikipedia’s policies. I request you to kindly consider unblocking my account, and I assure you that I will fully comply with Wikipedia’s paid editing disclosure policy going forward.
Thank you for your guidance and understanding. Gvihar (talk) 10:16, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for unblocking my account. I contribute voluntarily on Wikipedia and also do paid editing. Before adding a disclosure on my user page, may I please confirm if I need to include my service website link as well to comply with Wikipedia’s policies? Gvihar (talk) 14:45, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
Yes, that is required; per WP:PAID: '"Paid editors must provide links on their Wikipedia user page to all active accounts at websites where they advertise, solicit or obtain paid Wikipedia-editing services. If such an account is deleted or removed, any corresponding links on the Wikipedia user page must remain visible for at least one week." 331dot (talk) 16:01, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your guidance. I have added the required link to my user page as per your instructions. I will continue contributing as a Wikipedia volunteer as well.
Thanks again. Gvihar (talk) 17:35, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
I sincerely promise that I will never engage in paid editing again in my life. I will keep your advice in mind and be bold with future edits while ensuring they follow Wikipedia’s guidelines and are well-sourced. Gvihar (talk) 08:26, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello @Gvihar, I've checked your website that you have linked to on your profile and it still has the unreasonably expensive ($300 for a 200 words stub) Wikipedia paid editing stuff. Why is it still up? 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 10:50, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Right now, I work in software. Currently, I charge money only for research and writing for new Wikipedia articles. However, now I work in short tech projects. If there is less research work, then I charge only for writing, not for publication. But now, I mostly work on software and app projects. Gvihar 10:59, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Please guide me and tell me what I should do next. Gvihar 11:03, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Currently, I charge money only for research and writing for new Wikipedia articles.

also you aren't a "Wikipedia Top Editor [sic]" as you claim on your website, you're only starting to learn how to edit here. That is misleading, and you should change that or take it down all together 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 11:05, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
I have removed it. I deleted the post that was written. From now on, I will only take writing and research-related work. Gvihar 11:11, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

I have removed all claims and charges posts. Thank you. I will be careful from now on... done .. thanks.. Gvihar 11:24, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Sarsenet. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks. Redlinks are useful and can often be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" link (in the tools listed at the left in desktop view) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Sarsenethe/they•(talk) 18:23, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Okay, I won’t remove redlinks from now on. Please keep guiding me. Thank you! Gvihar 18:29, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Edit on Fusiturricula humerosa

Hello, I've reverted your recent edit on Fusiturricula humerosa as multiple references did not support the text added. One led to a separate species on the linked website and the other redirected to what looked to be a research group database. Another gave my browser a "this website may be dangerous" warning. Was any kind of AI used here? Sarsenethe/they•(talk) 11:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

While fixing the code structure, some mistakes happened. I will pay attention to the page links and will go inside the links to verify them. I will also check the website’s notability. Thank you Gvihar 12:02, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
That doesn't answer my question, was AI used on that article or any others you have worked on? If you aren't checking sources for verifiability, how and why are you adding them? Sarsenethe/they•(talk) 12:07, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
I was fixing the code structure, and during that, the sources increased. Once I am free from my current work, I will send you the correct article with source links for review. I will post it on the correct page and inform you. In the future, I will review properly before publishing or working further, and I will be careful going forward..... Gvihar 15:43, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
But you still didn't answer if you've used an WP:LLM to generate your articles 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 06:53, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
Yes, I have used an LLM to assist with content structure and drafting. I was facing repeated errors in the code structure, so I used AI to help clean and format it better. Over time, my mistakes have gradually reduced, and I now believe I’m improving and editing more responsibly than before.
I always manually review and verify all sources before adding them, in line with [WP:V] (Verifiability) and [WP:RS] (Reliable Sources). I understand the importance of these core policies and will make sure such issues don’t happen again.
Thank you for your guidance and support — it’s helping me learn and contribute better to the encyclopedia. Gvihar 07:09, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
This will never happen again. From now on, I will first post on the discussion page and will make changes only after the final review.” Gvihar 15:48, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

I have one question for you: 2406:7400:10A:CE5A:C1FC:6A47:4D4C:679B—how can I find out the username? How can I tell if that user is genuine or not? Do not censor

Hi @Gvihar, it appears you removed content without discussing it on the article talk page. Please note that Wikipedia is not censored, and content should not be removed because it is controversial. If you believe the information is inaccurate, please reach a consensus on the article talk page. NicolasWellesly (talk) 19:16, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

A note

Please do not misrepresent yourself as a mentor to new users, especially with unofficial welcoming template messages. You are still incredibly new to Wikipedia and I believe it would be helpful to focus on writing content and finding citations for now. Sarsenethe/they•(talk) 20:27, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for the information. From now on, I will not send welcome messages. Gvihar 20:39, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

How to start?

Hello, i would like to Find out How to list mySelf as an artist and How to list my studio as trusted and professional studio?

looking forward to hearing from you! Noemi Noemikovacstattoo (talk) 08:35, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion or listings. To be included, an artist or studio must meet notability guidelines and be covered in multiple reliable, independent sources (not social media or self-published content). Writing about yourself is discouraged due to conflict of interest.
If you believe you or your studio meet the criteria, you may suggest sources at Articles for Creation and an independent editor can review them. Gvihar 08:43, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi Gvihar. I am totally new to this, and have been asked to update the list of mayors for Waterloo, Iowa, as there are some gaps in the list. Speedy deletion request declined on page User:Dewbear1973

Hi Gvihar! I saw that you added a speedy deletion request under U1 to User:Dewbear1973. I declined this request because the page was not eligible for U1. I thought that maybe you were trying to add a report or a request for an administrator to review this user's edits and take action and instead added the incorrect template or incorrectly requested this, but I took a look at the user's contributions and I did not find any edits where any kind of advertising or promotional content was added anywhere. I'm... confused here; what were you trying to do exactly? You created the user page where you added this request, meaning that the page you're requesting deletion of didn't even exist. Can you help me out so that I can assist you? :-) Thanks - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:27, 30 July 2025 (UTC)

@Oshwah, thank you for the detailed explanation. I filed a speedy deletion request under U1 because the page was being edited repeatedly, but you’re right that it doesn’t meet the U1 criteria. I’m now withdrawing that request.
Resolved
Gvihar📝 13:43, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
I've already removed the request that you added. In response to your follow-up explanation: Well, see, that's the issue and what I'm not understanding (lol)... the page you added the request to didn't even exist. It hadn't been created before nor did it have any deleted edits or history, hence no edits were ever made or saved to that page before. When you added that request to the page, you created the page for the very first time with it; basically you requested deletion of a page that you created and added the deletion request to. :-) Where exactly did you see that edits were being made? Can you link me to the page or location and tell me what you saw? I'm just trying to understand so that I can help you and explain anything that you might not understand or be fully aware of; just trying to help you out. ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:49, 30 July 2025 (UTC)

Userpages and deletion

Hello,

I've noticed you've created a few userpages for other users with warnings for them and have also tagged the pages for speedy deletion when you have done so. If warning users, please use their talk page and don't create a userpage for someone that doesn't already have one. Please also be careful not to add speedy deletion templates when you are creating the page - if you don't think it should exist, just don't make it! Hello @CoconutOctopus,
Thank you for your guidance and I apologize for the confusion. I understand now that warnings should go on users’ talk pages rather than on newly created userpages, and that I should not add speedy deletion templates when creating pages. I will remove the templates I added and refrain from creating userpages for users who do not already have one.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I should be aware of.

Thank you for your guidance, Rsjaffe, at Archive 1 – Paid editing disclosure. I have now fully updated my user page and this talk page with the required paid-editing disclosures (per WP:UPE and WP:PAID), and I will post any future edit requests on the relevant article’s talk page before making changes.

@Rsjaffe – Hello! Could you please take a look at my paid-editing disclosure above and let me know if there’s anything more I need to add or adjust to comply with WP:PAID and WP:UPE? Thanks! Gvihar📝 16:22, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
Looks ok. Make sure you update the disclosures when you get new jobs. It took a lot of prompting to get all the correct information posted by you. Thanks. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 16:54, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
Thank you. There were some mistakes in a few places... I should have identified them earlier. There were certain things I was unaware of, and now I’ve come to know them. You have guided me correctly, and I will keep both Wikipedia policies and your guidance in mind. Thank you for taking the time. Gvihar📝 16:59, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
Can I update the article details? Gvihar📝 17:02, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
First of all, I sincerely apologize for my mistake—I re-added the content without prior consensus. Your feedback made it clear that this topic has already been discussed.
Below, I have compiled the information with reliable sources; kindly review it and let me know whether this content can be re-included in the article, or if any corrections/modifications are needed, please guide me accordingly.. Gvihar📝 17:54, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Easier way to make paid editing requests

I fixed up your Prime Healthcare edit request so that it gets attention. In the future, you can use the edit request wizard to help you format it correctly. Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard/Paid rsjaffe 🗣️ 17:58, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for the guidance. I will wait for the review. Gvihar📝 18:08, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Tenshi Hinanawi. An edit that you recently made to User talk:Cybergspace seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Tenshi! thanks for the inform ..I wrote this part myself, no AI was used. I had a part of a welcome message with me, which I added—it included information about Wikipedia policies, and I added it in a way that would help the user understand clearly.
Please let me know if there is any issue with this. Gvihar📝 19:23, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

or in the visual editor:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Describe what you changed

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences Editing Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Liz Read! Talk! 03:28, 4 August 2025 (UTC)

There was no explanation for a large removal of content as you did on Wormsloe Historic Site and you didn't discuss the situation on the article talk page. This made it resemble vandalism on your part. Please always leave an explanation when you make large edits and do not bite new editors. Please do not blank your talk page until this is resolved. Liz Read! Talk! 03:30, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
You also left no edit summary for removing a large amount of content here. Please always leave an explantion for your edits. Liz Read! Talk! 03:35, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
