Elvis for Everyone!
editThen does Elvis for Everyone! should be considered as the 8th album studio, like in this list ? or shall Moody Blue be considered as the 23th ? (currently marked as the 24th, I don't why as there's not 11th, see talk page Talk:Elvis_Presley#Numbering_of_his_studio_albums ) Elfast (talk) 13:20, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- I would consider it #8 and Moody Blue (which is also considered by many, including Joel Whitburn, a compilation, FWIW) #24. Yeah, it's not perfect and I can see the other side here.
- 11? That would be Elvis Back in Memphis.
- Grandmajohnnym (talk) 21:49, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis (so Elvis Back in Memphis) is currently marked as his 10th studio album. Elfast (talk) 22:39, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- From Elvis in Memphis is tenth, not Elvis Back in Memphis. Also, Elvis in Person at the International Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada / Elvis Back in Memphis (From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis) is both a studio and live double album. Therefore, it really is the 11th studio album and the second live album.
- Confusing, isn't it? :-D Grandmajohnnym (talk) 22:57, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Then the article about From Elvis in Memphis has to be changed too (currently "the ninth studio album").
- +How Great Thou Art (Elvis Presley album)
- So that we have consistency. Elfast (talk) 10:04, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
- Let me get back to you about this tomorrow, Elfast. I need to think about this a little. Grandmajohnnym (talk) 23:01, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, for studio albums:
- 1) Elvis Presley
- 2) Elvis
- 3) Elvis' Christmas Album
- 4) Elvis Is Back!
- 5) His Hand in Mine
- 6) Something for Everybody
- 7) Pot Luck
- 8) Elvis for Everyone!*
- 9) How Great Thou Art
- 10) From Elvis in Memphis
- 11) Elvis in Person at the International Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada / Elvis Back in Memphis (From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis)^
- 12) Elvis - That's the Way It Is
- 13) Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old)
- 14) Love Letters from Elvis
- 15) Elvis Sings The Wonderful World of Christmas
- 16) Elvis Now
- 17) He Touched Me
- 18) Elvis (The "Fool" Album)
- 19) Raised on Rock / For Ol' Times Sake
- 20) Good Times
- 21) Promised Land
- 22) Today
- 23) From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee
- 24) Moody Blue*
- Now for the live ones:
- 1) Elvis (NBC TV Special)
- 2) Elvis in Person at the International Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada / Elvis Back in Memphis (From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis)^
- 3) On Stage (February, 1970)
- 4) Elvis: As Recorded at Madison Square Garden
- 5) Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite
- 6) Elvis Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis
- 7) Elvis in Concert
- could also be classified as compilations
- ^ I think that solves the problem with that album, but what do you think? Grandmajohnnym (talk) 14:03, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. It'll be consistent with the list on Elvis_Presley_albums_discography#Studio_albums. Same for live albums (if we don't count "Elvis on Tour" released in 1972 in Japan, listed here, but only released in Japan anyway, and does it really exist ? No source and I don't find it on discogs and google) Elfast (talk) 14:25, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- It did exist, but it's actually the Madison Square album retitled for its second pressing (both versions made the top ten in Japan). I fixed it on the album page. Thanks for spotting that! Grandmajohnnym (talk) 15:03, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Beatles singles discography, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 21:04, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- My addition, as well as the Michael Jackson ones you reverted, are from BPI. That's not considered a reliable source anymore?! Grandmajohnnym (talk) 21:10, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- BTW, did you go to the BPI website to verify my Beatles and Michael Jackson edits? Grandmajohnnym (talk) 21:31, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I checked the source. You changed "Gold" to "Platinum", but the source says "Gold". Sundayclose (talk) 22:03, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Except it was certified Platinum 12/12 this year. Just go down the list of new certifications for that day and you will find it. BTW, the search function when used for artists doesn't always update the new certifications promptly. With that in mind, if you could bring back my edits for the Beatles and Michael Jackson, I would appreciate it. Grandmajohnnym (talk) 22:23, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- I didn't search for the artist. I searched for the specific song. After searching for I Want to Hold Your Hand, BPI does not provide a certification after 2023, which is Gold, not Platinum. Searching for a later date does not produce a newer certification. Sundayclose (talk) 22:31, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- The song search doesn't always update promptly, too. Again, all you have to do is go to the Brit Search page and just go down the page with the new certifications (Sleep Taken and Twenty One Pilots are the first two artists listed there for 12/19, FWIW). Once you get to the 12/12 selections, you will unquestionably find the new Platinum certification. It's not like I'm making this up. :-) Grandmajohnnym (talk) 23:18, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Done. Thanks. Sundayclose (talk) 23:26, 19 December 2025 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Elvis Presley albums discography, you may be blocked from editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:28, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- I have been doing this for a year now without a problem. Check on Discogs and you can find Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC (Elvis Presley In Concert) (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) easily. BTW, why did you get rid of my Elvis Presley, too? How is it not necessary to indicate Elvis Presley's African-American fanbase at the peak of his popularity under a heading dealing with his relations with that community is, frankly, preposterous. Grandmajohnnym (talk) 23:47, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Frankie and Johnny (soundtrack). You cannot source and article using a dead URL link. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:01, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

- I give up. Despite the fact there were 12 Pickwick albums (none of them acknowledged as such at the RIAA site, Btw, except for the Christmas album) certified on June 25, 2004, you still want to assume it's the other one. Could you at least explain to me why I'm wrong here please? Grandmajohnnym (talk) 22:41, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
