Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

It appears you may have used a large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, in your edits. While LLMs are powerful, machine-generated text often contains serious flaws. They may introduce bias, errors, plagiarism, libel, or even hoaxes. Specifically asking an LLM to "write a Wikipedia article" can sometimes cause the output to be outright fabrication, complete with fictitious references. For this reason, the use of AI writing tools for the creation or rewriting of articles, alongside their usage to generate images, sources or comments, save for a few exceptions, is generally prohibited. LLM-generated articles may be quickly deleted. If you are unsure about your wording, an alternative is to suggest it on the talk page for another volunteer to look at it. If you are creating a new article, you may use the Articles for Creation process to get feedback on your work.

As you get started editing Wikipedia, you may find the pages below to be helpful:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page, and someone will be along to answer it shortly. In your messages, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. Happy editing! ASUKITE 01:33, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Note - I'm not sure if Glanadda looks all that much like it was LLM-generated, but put the welcome above just in case as another editor tagged it. The refs were clearly made with our auto cite tool, which is not a problem (always good to fix them eventually, but still much better than a bare URL) ASUKITE 01:42, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi thanks for your response, I do admit to sometimes using a LLM for help finding reliable sources and notable sources. I did try to make sure that Glanadda was written inline with Wiki's language and style. I just ask LLM for help with research and spelling. And sources to publish. I did use it for some of the article and I was wrong to on Upper Bangor. But I will rewrite the article in my sandbox and then see if I can publish it again. I make sure going forward I use LLM as helpful and not copy and paste in parts. Thanks for your response. Glowr Curt Ryder. Glowr Curt Ryder (talk) 12:18, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Asukite if you would like to check my newest page: Garth, Gwynedd and give me some feedback. Feel free to. Thanks Glowr Curt Ryder. Glowr Curt Ryder (talk) 15:04, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
There are a lot of claims that are failing verification upon checking sources, sentence fragments and an overall lack of cohesion, and a lot of overly wordy phrasing that could be significantly trimmed. I'm still not sure. ASUKITE 16:31, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your response. I will have a look into it. But I will say that nothing was pasted using AI. That is not true, I have written it from start to finish. I will check the sources. But I can assure you. AI had zero play in phrasing or making each sentence. I did mention in my summary I used AI to find reliable sources and verify a few things. But I have typed the whole article word for word. So I would dispute AI being used as you tagged for the whole article. I used it for finding sources and verifying information. That was it. Regards Glowr Curt Ryder Glowr Curt Ryder (talk) 16:33, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
It might be ideal for the article to be moved to draft so that the sourcing can be worked on, as unverified claims are problematic, regardless of whether AI was used. ASUKITE 16:44, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have just made some more tweaks and added more sources for parts. It might be okay now. Source wise. Is the whole AI thing being added to almost all new articles now? Other than my ones? If you don't mind me asking? Since I am new here. Thanks Glowr Curt Ryder Glowr Curt Ryder (talk) 16:50, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Just articles that have issues. I left a note at Wikipedia:AI noticeboard#Garth, Gwynedd so somebody with more experience than myself can double-check everything. Sorry for that - I am still new at this sort of thing. Hopefully that will help alleviate any concerns. ASUKITE 17:01, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for that, I understand scrutiny happens. I only used AI for finding reliable sources and for using them for each thing I written. But I guess without an AI checker tool. It is hard to find or tag. Thank you kindly anyway, as I am new to this too. Thanks Glowr Curt Ryder Glowr Curt Ryder (talk) 17:08, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Upper Bangor moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Upper Bangor. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it consists of machine-generated text. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. scope_creepTalk 07:59, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, thanks for your message. I am going to work on Upper Bangor on my own sandbox, and make necessary changes and have it inline with Wiki's style and notability. I will if your okay to, I'll ping you. You can review it and let me know if your happy for it to be published? So you have had a chance to read it? If your okay with that? Thanks Glowr Curt Ryder. Feedback
The reviewer, ChrysGalley, left the following feedback:
This draft appears to be generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You cannot use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with certain obvious signs of being machine generated may be deleted without notice.

These tools are prone to specific issues that violate our policies:

  • hallucinations: they often invent false information and cite non-existent references.
  • unencyclopedic tone: they tend to be vague, promotional, or essay-like, rather than neutral and factual.
  • copyright issues: they may closely paraphrase existing text, leading to copyright violations.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.
Unchecked sources that do not support the text and no obvious changes since draftification. Three source issues are highlighted below, there are others. This illustrates why we have WP:NEWLLM and will require considerable effort to correct. LLM saves zero time in the end. If submitted without a full rewrite, there is a possibility that the article will be rejected.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Garth, Gwynedd to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.
