Use of multiple accounts

edit

Please review WP:MULTIPLE. There are legitimate reasons for having multiple accounts. However, using multiple accounts to create the same drafts gives the appearance of gaming the system. Blatant sockpuppetry may result in indefinite blocks/being banned. ERcheck (talk) 22:26, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Giorgiousa - If you intend to abandon the Giorgio oliper account you can
  1. Place the template {{Abandoned account | Giorgiousa | Date (any format)}}, at the top of the user page User:Giorgio oliper, replacing "Date (any format)" with the effective date that you have/will cease using the Giorgio oliper account.
  2. Cease any further edits from the Giorgio oliper account.

Dear ERcheck, i am a 74 years old disabled man. I am enjoying to be part of Wikipedia but still I am limited to do things. Can I please ask you to help me so i can STOP using Giorgio Oliper and ONLY KEEP giorgiousa? I would truly appreciated it. Giorgiousa (talk) 16:20, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Giorgiousa - You need to log into Giorgio Oliper to accomplish the above. ERcheck (talk) 16:48, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Giorgiousa: At 16:58, 31 May 2026 (UTC), you added the following response to your talk page:Reply

ERcheck I could not login. seems like the account is disabled already.the system does not recognize the credentials to login. I requested a new password to see if it was the problem but was not. it didn't work, see:...

Followed by account details, including password.
  1. That edit has been reverted as you should not reveal your account passwords.
  2. I can confirm that the account is not currently blocked. If it sent you a temporary password, it is clearly not disabled/blocked.

Hello ! yes, I have already followed the instructions to disabled the account giorgio oliper.Thank you. I am still learning Wikipedia and I will be more careful in the future. I appreciate the guidance. Thank you again. Giorgiousa (talk) 16:46, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Giorgiousa - Your comments are inconsistent with respect to multiple accounts. Directly above, at 16:46, 31 May 2026 (UTC), you said you followed instructions "to disabled" (sic) the Giorgio oliper account. However, at 16:58, 31 May 2026 (UTC), in the #Use of multiple accounts section, you said that "I could not login. seems like the account is disabled already." What steps did you take? Your editing patterns and response patterns feel like you are trying to game the system. ERcheck (talk) 19:56, 31 May 2026 (UTC) ERcheck (talk) 19:56, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from creating accounts and from editing Draft:Sans Souci Theater for a period of 72 hours for using multiple accounts. The block will remain at least until the SPI is completed. Once the block has expired, and the results of the SPI are determined, you may be welcomed to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then post an appeal to the administrators' noticeboard.   ERcheck (talk) 22:43, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion

edit

Hi Giorgio, I wanted to suggest another activity you might enjoy and that will certainly help keep your mind sharp while you are waiting to see what happens next here. There's a website called Zooniverse where you can do a variety of things that will help researchers. Some things I have done include identifying animals in images (usually of the oceans, natural parks, savannahs, etc) to help establish what sort of wildlife is using an area or how many of a species might exist, transcribing and checking handwritten text from historical documents, identifying cancerous cells in images - but there's many, many options and all of them will make a big difference to research across a range of sciences. I hope you find something interesting and enjoyable! Best wishes, Meadowlark (talk) 08:53, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

edit
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Ragazzodeitalia per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ragazzodeitalia. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, GearsDatapacks, left the following feedback:
This draft is not written from a neutral point of view. Wikipedia articles must be written neutrally in a formal, impersonal, and dispassionate way. They should not read like a blog post, advertisement, or fan page. Rewrite the draft to remove: Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.
Article is written in an informal and unencyclopedic tone.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Teatro Sans Souci to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.

Request reason:

Hello. I respectfully request clarification regarding my indefinite block. I understand that the block was related to alleged multiple-account abuse. However, I have not intentionally used multiple Wikipedia accounts to evade policies or influence discussions. It is possible that the issue may be related to a shared internet connection. More than one person uses or has used this connection, and some may have edited Wikipedia independently of me. If that is relevant to the block, I would appreciate clarification. Could an administrator please explain the specific evidence that led to this conclusion and what actions on my part were considered a violation?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2= Hello. I respectfully request clarification regarding my indefinite block. I understand that the block was related to alleged multiple-account abuse. [[User:Giorgiousa|Giorgiousa]] ([[User talk:Giorgiousa#top|talk]]) 18:09, 4 June 2026 (UTC) |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

I have formatted your help request as an unblock request, which seems to be what you are doing. Did you use AI to write it? 331dot (talk) 19:55, 4 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I respectfully ask for a review of my block. I have taken some time to think about the concerns that were raised. I understand that my actions and explanations may have caused confusion. For that, I sincerely apologize. I am 74 years old, disabled, and completely new to Wikipedia. My reason for joining is simple: I enjoy history, research, and preserving stories I believe are worth remembering. I wanted to contribute articles about historical and cultural subjects, not cause problems or break rules. I understand there were concerns about multiple accounts. I live with family members, including my brother and my son. Some of them have used Wikipedia in the past. I am not sure if this is relevant to the findings, but I wanted to mention it to help explain any confusion regarding accounts or activity linked to our household. I also want to address the concern about AI-generated comments. I write my own thoughts and messages. English is not my first language, and sometimes I use tools to help me fix grammar or clarify my writing. However, the ideas, opinions, and explanations are my own. I do not use AI to think for me or to communicate on my behalf. Looking back, I realize that I did not fully understand Wikipedia's rules about accounts and editing practices. If I made mistakes, they were due to inexperience and misunderstanding, not an intention to deceive anyone, dodge rules, or sway discussions unfairly. I respect Wikipedia and the volunteers who dedicate their time to it. If given another chance, I am willing to follow all guidance regarding account use, communication, and editing practices. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering my request. Giorgiousa  Preceding unsigned comment added by Giorgiousa (talkcontribs)
If you are not confident enough in your English skill to write without using an AI, even just for checking grammar, you should consider editing the Wikipedia of your primary language instead, that way you will not struggle to understand or to be understood. AI often does more than what is asked of it. We do not expect perfect grammar and spelling.
