Hi,
I’m a bit confused by your message, so I wanted to clarify.
My edit was made in good faith. The earlier version used a blog-style source, so I removed it and replaced it with what I understood to be better sources, including a journal article and other published references.
I’m not engaged in any dispute with anyone, and I haven’t been edit warring — I made the change once after improving the sourcing.
Could you please point out what exactly in my edit you consider disruptive? If there is an issue with a specific source or wording, I’m happy to fix it.
Thanks. G000p10 (talk) 20:50, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics: minimum 500 edits required for editing any article related to caste or social groups

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

@G000p10 please pay heed to alerts left at your talk page. You're not allowed to edit topics related to South Asian history, politics or culture until you have atleast 500 edits. Sutyarashi (talk) 19:10, 15 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

icon Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Sutyarashi (talk) 09:22, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I believe there may be a misunderstanding regarding my edit. I did not remove Hindko or Urdu from the article. I only added Pashto to the language section, as Pashto is also spoken by Swatis, particularly in Battagram, and this was supported by the pakiatan census.
If there are concerns about the reliability of the sources or the wording used, I am happy to discuss them on the article's talk page and work toward consensus. My intention was to improve the accuracy of the language section, not to engage in disruptive editing. G000p10 (talk) 13:25, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
This was not the only article where you altered content without reference or removed cited material. Also take in account the above warning regarding WP:CT/SA. Sutyarashi (talk) 13:48, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
if there are specific edits that you believe were unsourced or involved the removal of cited material, please identify them individually so they can be discussed on their merits.
Regarding the Swati article, the edit in question added Pashto to the language section based on the existence of Pashto-speaking Swati communities, particularly in Battagram District and parts of Mansehra. No cited material was removed from that section. If there are concerns about it, I am willing to discuss them and seek consensus.
I would appreciate focusing on the specific content under discussion rather than making broad allegations about unrelated edits. G000p10 (talk) 13:54, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
