something to consider
editHi, I'd like to point out this helpful article: WP:AUTO. I hope that you will read it and take the recommendations there into consideration. Aldebarium (talk) 23:02, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Aldebarium. Thanks for pointing me to WP:AUTO. I do understand I have a conflict of interest because I am the subject of the draft. I tried to address that by disclosing the COI and submitting through Articles for Creation.
- My aim was to offer reliable sources for independent editors to review, and I am open to having the draft rewritten, shortened, or even deleted if needed. If you think deletion is not neccesary, but see neutrality or sourcing problems you think I should fix, I would also be happy to address them too. Evan1022 (talk) 23:25, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- Writing your autobiography is a fairly extreme example of COI editing, which is why there's an entire WP guideline article telling you that it is strongly discouraged. You clearly have a great deal of subject area expertise and it would be great if you had an interest in WP editing in general, to write or improve articles on astrophysics topics, or to write biography articles about other noteworthy scientists, or any other subjects that you might be interested in. You could add a lot of value to Wikipedia if you chose to spend some time doing that. Do you really want your first (and so far only) WP editing activity to be something that goes against a very clear WP content guideline? I would just suggest reading the first paragraph of WP:AUTO again and think it over. Since you're new to Wikipedia editing, another useful article to look at is WP:NAU.
