Thanks, TonyBallioni, I'm a little salty from how the original page on Dr. Strickland was handled, but I appreciate the welcome. --Emceeaich (talk) 00:48, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I was mad too; it’s how I found the draft. Also, see my talk for a reply about hist merging from Primefac and myself. FWIW, the history is preserved in the redirect and making it a redirect actually means it has little to no chance of ever being deleted, versus a stale draft which is deleted after 6 months. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Ayodele Nzinga, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. radioactOlive(she/it)(talk) 21:14, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I had to go searching in sub-pages of the Manual of Style to find the rule, which you did not mention in your note here, governing how professional titles and degrees are handled. Linking to that instead of a passive aggressive template would have been more helpful and would do more to encourage me to continue contributing. Emceeaich (talk) 23:28, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Apologies - I watch the recent changes page and use a couple of automated tools to revert changes/leave templated messages. Most of the templates include an ending encouraging asking me about why I reverted the change, and I'm not sure why this one doesn't. However, these tools and templates are rather necessary given the amount of vandalism Wikipedia gets - I'm sorry it turned out to be discouraging in this case. I'd have been happy to point to MOS:DOC if you hadn't clearly already found it. radioactOlive(she/it)(talk) 02:17, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
