Welcome from the Opera Project

edit

Hello Eganio, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

Delighted to see you are posting about opera. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  - -- Kleinzach 07:55, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Uh, thanks. The only thing I remember writing about opera was a comment I made about the film Amadeus, where Salieri is going mad and concocting his scheme to kill Mozart while attending a performance of Don Giovanni. I guess you guys have filters or something...I wouldn't consider myself having posted about opera specifically. Sorry. Thanks, though. Eganio 12:15, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Now everyone wants to talk about the Avenging Angeles now???--Manny Ribera 14:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Look, Manny, we've had this discussion three times now. I posted the Avenging Angels heading because you had asked if we could discuss their inclusion in the article, which everyone here has been more than willing to do. And I have left the heading alone in the hopes that you would post what you know, since I am not a good source of information on that particular gang, and their inclusion in the article was your idea to begin with. In the future, please assume good faith of the other posters, since we have afforded you the same courtesy. Eganio 08:30, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok ok meng geez! I'm just confused at this whole thing.--Manny Ribera 06:49, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think maybe I am too. Sorry if I seem upset...I'm not, I had just hoped we could all chip in on seeing if these gangs fit the criteria, but so far, I'm the only one posting under the gang headings! Eganio 19:52, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Multiple edits

edit

Hey Eganio, this isn't a criticism of your work because the stuff you've done is excellent and is really helping the GTA articles, but do you think you could use the preview button more often when making edits as the multiple minor changes for rewording make the history page harder to follow. Thanks ●BillPP (talk|contribs) 03:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sure thing. Thanks 4 pointing that out...the idiot I am, didn't even realize I was creating that much volume! I will use the preview button from now on. Thanks for your compliments, BTW. I'm glad I can help. Eganio 08:21, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

I know. But i'm still confused I don't understand what you guys are talking about?--Manny Ribera 13:06, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

All we're talking about is whether or not each group we're discussing fits the criteria we established. These criteria are meant to help us decide whether a group is relevant enough to the game series as a whole to be included in the article. I was hoping you would have the best knowledge of whether the Avenging Angels fit the criteria, since you brought them up in a previous discussion. Does that make sense? Sorry if I was unclear. An important letter

edit

Dear roads editor,

You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.

This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.

After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.

The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.

In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.

For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.

In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.

All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.

In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.

Regards,

USRD Inactivity check and news report

edit

Hello, Eganio. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:

  1. Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
  2. There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

Hah, I'm fine dude. I should be asking you if you're ok, seeing as that would be much more offensive to you. I hate the fact that something like that happened mainly because I'm involved in it; I hate it that a personal conflict of mine is "overflowing," so to speak, and causing others harm. Also, if you don't know, that "user" is a puppet of Craxy, an indef-blocked user who is so unreasonably immature that he hasn't let go of this ancient conflict yet. ♣ Klptyzm Chat wit' me § Contributions21:37, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Grand theft auto: San Andreas characters

edit

Hi. I think i've found some images for the major characters which we can include on this page at the following site: {http://www.answers.com/topic/list-of-characters-in-grand-theft-auto-san-andreas}. Could you please check if they comply with policies and upload the images for this article, because i'm still new and i'm not sure if they do comply after reading the certain things which images need to comply with, in order to be uploaded. Please let me know on my talk page as soon as you have checked it out. Thanks. JayJ47 (talk) 21:32, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks anyway man, I really appreciate your help. Thank you! JayJ47 (talk) 22:37, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added source, but what's "portion used" about? None of the others have it. --Flesh-n-Bone 12:13, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think it's from the Casino in Las Venturas. Or either his home in San Fierro. --Flesh-n-Bone 13:25, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
It must be his home in Chinatown, San Fierro. Take a look at behind him and you might see it. --Flesh-n-Bone 13:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

A comment at WP:ANI

"Petulance is my prerogative, as is it yours to tell me what is and what isn't policy...let's just agree to disagree."

That was pretty cool. Wikipedia is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, the petulant, the stoics, the slightly wibbly, alike. Keep your head straight and don't get wound up and you may go far... ;~) LessHeard vanU (talk) 22:21, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Regarding this issue, I have commented back at Talk:List of... but I wanted you to know that I wasn't implying that you personally were engaged in edit-warring. It was the English "you in general." I'm not British, so I don't use "one" as a personal pronoun, which I suppose leaves room for that misunderstanding. Sorry. --Cheeser1 (talk) 18:58, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
