Greenland/Iceland air routes

edit

I'm happy to spend some more time adding references for routes in, to and from Greenland. However, I don't really know the situation with routes to/from Kangerlussuaq airport since the new hub at Nuuk airport opened. In addition, there are some other routes in Greenland (particularly to the smaller airports/heliports) where I'm having difficulty finding reliable sources. Finally, I don't have any reliable sources (apart from airline websites) on MyFlug or Norlandair in Iceland... would you be able to help fill in some sources ? Hi @Pmbma, thanks for my talk page message. Yes I agree, it's difficult finding reliable independent sources for Greenlandic airports - apart from Air Greenland themselves. I have been monitoring flightconnections.com, FR24 and the AG website on SFJ flights, seems JAV-SFJ is active over summer seasonal. For Mýflug/Norlandair, I will try to find better sources, but local sites have offered some info on recent changes - sources for older and existing routes are more difficult to find. Check out my new article at [[Qaqortoq Airport]] and please change/add. Thanks for your efforts on GL/IS airports. Drumstick21 (talk) 22:04, 6 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

UK ETA

edit

"Required nationalities" makes no sense. How can you "require" a nationality? These are the nationalities that qualify for an ETA. I really don't understand why you consider the former to be correct. What am I missing? Would "Nationalities that require an ETA" work instead? 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 18:20, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sure, how I see it:
A UK ETA is required from nationals of the following countries travelling to the UK without a visa:
ETA is the subject of the verb is required. Nationals is the indirect object. Travelling to the UK without a visa is the participle clause.
You require from nationals, not require a nationality. Nationals as in citizens, or people of that nationality.
By adding who may travel, you are implying that everyone (including those who are eligible but not travelling), is required to obtain an ETA, which is not true. In other words, it would imply that, for example, all French people would be required to get an ETA regardless whether they intend to travel to the UK.
You could reword it. For example: Nationals of the following countries require an ETA to travel to the UK Drumstick21 (talk) 18:58, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
That works for me. (I don't think that the section title needs to say that a few nationals of those countries may personally fail to meet the criteria for an ETA and will have to apply for a visa anyway.) 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 19:52, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
