Hi! It's like real-world version of "Sherlock Holmes (you) vs Arsène Lupin (me)." MathKeduor7 (talk) 07:20, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but your edits were vandalism. Knock it off. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 07:21, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
Sincere question
editHow to put "–" before signature (automatically)? MathKeduor7 (talk) 07:37, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
I tried in a lot of different ways, but none work. Please, could you help me on this one? MathKeduor7 (talk) 07:41, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
I think I got it! –MathKeduor7 (talk) 07:47, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
Please
editCoikd you TALK to me before reverting my own edits???????? I generally accept advice when im in mania. MathKeduor7 (talk) 04:16, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think reaching out to everyone before every single revert is realistic, so no.In this case, the additions were pretty plainly inappropriate though, so I simply undid them. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 13:21, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

In Regards to Declining Redirects
editHi there, I understand why you are declining redirects from autoconfirmed users, but I personally don't think you should. Some are blocked from creating redirects, and others are unsure whether their request fits the criteria. I'd love to hear your input! drdr150 (they/she) (Yell at me Spy on me) 17:40, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Drdr150: I usually check for editing restrictions first, but made a mistake in the one I just looked at today. Requests really should only be made by those who can't make the redirects themselves, due to not being autoconfirmed (or editing restricted, as you mentioned). This is similar to how WP:RMTR works for page moves. It's really there when there's a technical barrier, not as a "Is this okay?" filter. If that's the concern, the Teahouse or WT:RE would be better places to ask. Maybe there's room for adding to the edit notice, but I suspect it mostly gets ignored anyway. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 17:56, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, and also, this page gets a pretty high volume of requests, and letting people who can make them themselves do so is generally a step in lowering that number. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 17:58, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

editWhat did you find unclear about my additions to Long division Kevincook13 (talk) 09:00, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Kevincook13: What was there is already not great, and the extra wordiness and tangent only made it worse. Your recent edits seem to be based on some kind of odd finitist WP:POV, and generally haven't been appropriate. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 17:44, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining. Kevincook13 (talk) 21:26, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

editWhat was the point of declining my "Cunnilinguist" and "Cunnilinguists" redirects, if someone will just try to type it and it will redirect them there? I already made another redirect for the hip-hop band, so it doesn't make sense on having the other redirects declined.
And what was so unnecessary on my "Or Nah" redirect? Dolla Sign's name is with a $ symbol on it: "$ign". Most of those redirects with that symbol lead to pages relating to him. For example, "Paranoid (Ty Dolla $ign song)" will redirect to "Paranoid (Ty Dolla Sign song)". Gregory Khachatrian (talk) 18:50, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
- I could turn that around and ask, "What was the point of requesting them?"...They're not plausibly going to be used as search terms to find the target. Mediawiki has a search feature; the more redirects you make, the harder it is to get a proper search. And just because someone made useless redirects of one type in the past doesn't mean we have to keep making them. Oddly formed disambiguators are especially egregious examples of this as terms no one's going to plausibly search for; see WP:PANDORA for some further thoughts on this. That all being said, if you don't like it, make them yourself (but be prepared for them to be taken to WP:RFD. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 19:59, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
