Speedy deletion nomination of Litanies Podcast
editHello HoodedBeast09,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Litanies Podcast for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Uncovering the Litanies
edit
A tag has been placed on Category:Uncovering the Litanies indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 05:30, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

editHi HoodedBeast09. Thank you for your work on St. John Paul the Great (disambiguation). Another editor, Moriwen, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
I'm not sure there's a need for this page, as "St. John Paul the Great" is exclusively used to refer to Pope John Paul II.

Speedy deletion nomination of St. John Paul the Great (disambiguation)
edit
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on St. John Paul the Great (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. — Moriwen (talk) 20:09, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Uncovering the Litanies (Podcast)
editHello HoodedBeast09, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Uncovering the Litanies (Podcast), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Uncovering the Litanies (Podcast).
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|CFA}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Bright Lights
editHi, you had created a draft article for "Bright Lights". It had been declined twice but you still decided to move it to mainspace yourself despite the concerns presented to you. You then attempted to create two identical versions with non-standard naming conventions which were redirected back to the draft page and removed from mainspace. Please attempt to revise the draft using more reliable sources, and let a reviewer assess the article and perform the move if accepted. Thank you. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 19:55, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds good! Thank you! HoodedBeast09 (talk) 00:00, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

The article Five Crowns (card game) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GNG, is reliant on primary sources (i.e. PlayMonster, and Amazon.com) or unreliable sources (i.e. YouTube, Ludiologists.com, and Bar Games 101).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
You have recently made edits related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. This is a standard message to inform you that articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. Hello, I'm Firefangledfeathers. I noticed that you changed the personal pronouns of an individual in the article Dylan Mulvaney. Your submission at Articles for creation: Uncovering the Litanies (podcast) (February 16)

- in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject)
- reliable
- secondary
- independent of the subject

- Hi, thanks for reviewing my page. Just one question, could you give me examples of things to add to my Wikipedia page to make it acceptable? As for citations, I can't find many. What would you recommend for a podcast citation? I can find where the podcast can be listened to and where the podcast is on IMDb, not what are some other things I can add to get it approved?
- Thanks, and have a great rest of your weekend! HoodedBeast09 (talk) 12:47, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi. Like most subjects, per the WP:GNG notability guideline, this would require significant coverage in multiple secondary sources that are reliable and entirely independent of the subject. Your draft only cites primary, user-generated sources which are not considered reliable or independent. (Slight clarification: sources like Spotify or Amazon can be used to support entirely factual, non-contentious information such as episode or track listings, but not much else, and they cannot be used to establish notability which is the issue here.) An earlier version was deleted following the Articles for deletion/Uncovering the Litanies discussion six months ago for exactly the same reason, which means that if an article were to be published without demonstrating clear notability, it would be immediately exposed to G4 speedy deletion anyway. HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:00, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing Thank you. Just curious, if this subject doesn't have other people writing about it, but just has resources like, Spotify, the official website, IMDb, blogs, etc. How can I add more citations? I'm not trying to argue but am just curious. Wouldn't a podcast, if it were available on all those platforms be notable because it clearly exists? Sorry if that came out rude or argumentative, I'm really not trying to be. I'm just asking so I know what to add. Thanks! HoodedBeast09 (talk) 13:06, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Feel absolutely free to ask, it's not at all rude or argumentative! I'd rather you did, than not.
- Reductio ad absurdum, if we catalogued things that merely exist, we would have c. 8bn articles on living persons alone, and countless more besides on dead persons, other living beings, geographical features, businesses, products, artistic creations, ideas, etc. Clearly that isn't possible, hence we must narrow the scope, and the main way we do that is by only covering subjects which have been previously covered by multiple independent and reliable sources; we then merely summarise what they have said. From this it follows that if no such sources exist, then their coverage cannot be summarised, and a Wikipedia article cannot be created. (There are some subjects that are deemed inherently notable, such as species, some geographical features, etc., but they are very much the exception.)
- I meant earlier to point you to the special notability guideline for web content, WP:WEB. It is essentially a derivative of the general GNG one, but may contain some provisions which could be useful here. Please have a look, it explains the whole concept of notability much better than I ever could.
- Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:34, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing Thank you for the info, that makes sense. What should I do with my draft. Should I delete it? HoodedBeast09 (talk) 14:18, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- You cannot delete it yourself, you need to be an admin to do that. I can do it for you, if you want? Or you can just leave it there, and it will be deleted automatically six months after the last human (ie. non-bot) edit. Which also means that if you make even a minor edit every six months, you could potentially keep it in the draft space for quite long, in the hope that better sources appear. Up to you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:23, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing Okay, I'll keep it up for now. Thanks for all your time and help! HoodedBeast09 (talk) 14:29, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Also, if there were sources that came out for this subject, what types of things should I be looking out for? i.e., like what pages on Google would start writing about this subject? Thanks HoodedBeast09 (talk) 14:34, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Like I'm assuming Facebook and IMDb wouldn't be good sources, but do you know what I'm asking? HoodedBeast09 (talk) 14:36, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Can I add blogs or posts from Facebook, Instagram, X, etc? HoodedBeast09 (talk) 14:53, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- No, Facebook (and other social media) and IMDb are also user-generated, so not considered reliable, and also not independent.
- To be reliable, sources need to employ editorial oversight (ie. someone writes the content, but an editor with legal and professional responsibility for its publication approves it), and have a reputation for fact-checking and error-correction. You can read more on this at WP:RS / WP:RSP.
- The sources also need to be independent of the subject. The obvious implication is that the sources shouldn't be related to or associated with the subject in any way. But it also means that the content should not originate with the subject: eg. press releases, sponsored content, etc. may appear in a publication that on the face of it seems independent, but the actual content isn't. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:56, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing
- Okay, so is everybodywiki.com a user-generated source and shouldn't be used? HoodedBeast09 (talk) 15:14, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know, I'm not familiar with it, but almost certainly user-generated judging by the 'wiki' in the name. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:28, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing
- Would the official website be good to add? HoodedBeast09 (talk) 17:28, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Sure, you can add a link to their website, either in the infobox and/or in the 'External links' section. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:37, 16 February 2025 (UTC)

Hello, HoodedBeast09. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:58, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi HoodedBeast. I've added the above notification template just for reference because it contains links to pages I think apply to your situation. For reference, Wikipedia doesn't expressly prohibit what it refers to as "conflict-of-interest" editing, but it does highy discourage because it can sometimes lead to serious problems. Wikipedia does, however, prohibit undisclosed paid-editing per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure so please make sure you're careful with that if you've got a vested financial interest or are otherwise being compensated about the two drafts you're working on related to "Luke Evans" and "Uncovering the Littanies". DoubleGrazing seems to be helping regarding things like Wikipedia:Notability; so, I'm only adding this for your additional reference since it seems like you might be trying to create a Wikipedia article about yourself or someone you're personally/professionally connected to or a podcast you're associated with. It's fine for you to continue working on these drafts if you want, but you should try to follow the guidance given on the pages linked to above as much as possible. If, by chance, you're indeed trying to create Wikipedia content about yourself or perhaps someone you're closely connected to, you might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:Autobiography, Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing, Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, Wikipedia:Ownership of content and Wikipedia:Wikipedia is in the real world because you might find the information on those pages helpful. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:11, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Your file uploads
editHi HoodedBeast09. You've uploaded quite a number of files to both Wikipedia and Commons that ended up having to be deleted because of questionable copyright licensing or claims of own work. How to upload and use images on Wikipedia can be a tricky thing to get the hang of and it's easy to make mistakes. One or two mistakes is OK and somewhat expected, but repeating the same mistakes over and over again could eventually lead to either a Wikipedia administrator or a Commons administrator deciding to step in and take some action against your accounts. So, before uploading any more files to either, you probably should take a close look at Wikipedia:Image use policy and c:Commons:Licensing. If you have any questions about either page, you can ask them respectively at Wikipedia:Help desk, Wikipedia:Teahouse or Wikipedia:Media copyright questions for files uploaded to Wikipedia, or at c:Commons:Help desk or c:Commons:Village pump/Copyright for files uploaded to Commons. One of the worst things you can do after one of your file uploads has been deleted is to simply to re-upload it again without addressing the reasons why it was deleted; not only is this unnecessary (deleted files aren't gone forever but can be restored once the reasons why they've been deleted are sorted out), but it also could give am administrator the impression that you might not have the competence needed to be uploading files. So, it's better to ask questions when you're not sure instead of just uploading a file and hoping it will sort itself out. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:35, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

The article Matt Fradd has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
I don't see notability established here. Sources cited include a couple of mentions in a list of speakers, biographies on websites associated with Mr Fradd, and a link to TVTropes.
— Moriwen (talk) 17:11, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

Your recent edit at Backlot Stunt Coaster added unsourced information. If you obtained this from a reliable source, please cite the source if you decide to re-add the information. Also, the information would be better discussed/presented in the History section of the ride instead of the Layout section. In the layout, the only thing that needs to be stated would be that the fire was disabled. Right now, it might only be temporarily disabled. Until we know more, it might be best to wait for information to be released by the park. --GoneIn60 (talk) 15:01, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
