Your submission at Articles for creation: John Pringle (July 6)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by SafariScribe was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I think this should be redirected to Round Hill Hotel and Villas. There is not tangible work if not founding the hotel along his wife.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

There are multiple published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject - namely entire articles about John Pringle in the top Jamaican Newspapers and British Telegraph newspaper.
Redirecting to Round Hill does not feel appropriate as The majority of John Pringle's achievements are around his work as the first director of tourism in the Jamaican government post it's independence from British rule - amongst other mentioned roles within the Jamaican government and major global companies. He appeared on a Jamaican stamp and received the highest award from the government. Cookedrice1 (talk) 10:37, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

There are published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject - an entire article about Liz Pringle in the British Telegraph newspaper is used as a reference - one of the largest and most esteemed newspapers in the UK.

Sources 2 and 3 only provide passing (or no) mentions, and the Telegraph obit is alone not enough to establish notability.
