Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

It appears you may have used a large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, in your edits. While LLMs are powerful, machine-generated text often contains serious flaws. They may introduce bias, errors, plagiarism, libel, or even hoaxes. Specifically asking an LLM to "write a Wikipedia article" can sometimes cause the output to be outright fabrication, complete with fictitious references. For this reason, the use of AI writing tools for the creation or rewriting of articles, alongside their usage to generate images, sources or comments, save for a few exceptions, is generally prohibited. LLM-generated articles may be quickly deleted. If you are unsure about your wording, an alternative is to suggest it on the talk page for another volunteer to look at it. If you are creating a new article, you may use the Articles for Creation process to get feedback on your work.

As you get started editing Wikipedia, you may find the pages below to be helpful:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page, and someone will be along to answer it shortly. In your messages, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. Happy editing! Hi Deacon,
Many thanks for your quick reply and I'm very keen to get this right as I have never asked for edits before. I’ve visited Wikipedia on many occasions but I have never had an account or tried to request edits.
Yes, I did use AI to format the text as I was unfamiliar with the formats that you needed but I can assure you that all of the facts and figures and references were gathered and checked by me personally mostly from our annual reports. I'm more than happy to supply additional information if it's required.
I am an employee of Safestore, I work in the Marketing Department. I did disclose this on my page before submitting. I have absolutely no intention of editing the article directly. I was just hoping that someone else would update it, so it reflects Safestore in 2026. We have grown a lot in the last few years.
I would really appreciate any guidance on how to do this without falling foul to the guidelines. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Kind regards, Chrissie Chrissiesaunders (talk) 15:21, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Chrissiesaunders. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Deacon Vorbis (carbon  videos) 14:36, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hiya, Just to reiterate that I did disclose that I was a Safestore Employee before submitting the request for edits. Should I have used the 'Edit request wizard' as opposed to the Talk section of the Safestore page. Any advice greatly welcomed. I am signing off for the day but will be back in the morning.
