editDead Bod
editYesterday I learned the sad news that Bodnotbod has died. I've added the necessary templates to his user page and this talk page, but if anyone wants to get in touch if further verification is required, feel free. While not very active in recent years, Bodnotbod made over 12,000 edits to Wikipedia and created 83 mainspace pages—largely in the years 2004 to 2011—and was a big believer in the Wikimedia project, maintaining accounts and making hundreds of contributions to Strategy and Meta. I knew him IRL for over 20 years; though we hadn't been in direct contact for some time, throughout he was a man of unique wit and high ideals, and we will miss him. - I apologize for the previous message if it comes off as disrespectful; it was automatically posted by Twinkle when I made an AfD nom. I give my best wishes and utmost respect to @Bodnotbod and their loved ones. Royz-vi Tsibele (talk) 01:59, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
