Important Notice

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Proposed deletion of Suruchi Prakashan

edit

Hello, Bakarpuran

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username GrabUp, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Suruchi Prakashan, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|GrabUp}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion. I will however add more sources and relevant information to expand upon the article. Then surely it will be up to the mark. Also, can you suggest me something? Suruchi Prakashan is cited on many wikipedia pages but in the snippets (references section). How can this be useful if i want to remove the orphan tag? Thanks in advance Bakarpuran (talk) 20:38, 2 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
{{Re|GrabUp}} Thank you for your review. I have added multiple independent, secondary sources from reputable news outlets and publications to establish the notability of Suruchi Prakashan. The article now adheres to Wikipedia’s General Notability Guidelines (WP:GNG) and presents a neutral, well-sourced overview of the subject. Given these improvements, I believe the reasons for deletion are no longer valid, and I am removing the PROD tag accordingly. If there are further concerns, I welcome discussion on the Talk Page. Suruchi Prakashan moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Suruchi Prakashan. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and Right now, there are zero references from independent, reliable sources which discuss the company in-depth.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Onel5969 TT me 15:52, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics: new version, minimum edit count and account age

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Ekdalian (talk) 13:25, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please note that you are not supposed to edit anything related to social group or caste. You cannot even discuss about such articles on the talk pages! You may only post edit requests on the article talk pages until you become an extended confirmed user. Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 13:26, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the notice. I will keep the Contentious Topics guidelines in mind while editing. Bakarpuran (talk) 13:36, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
