Speedy deletion nomination of Roses and raindrops

A tag has been placed on Roses and raindrops requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fram (talk) 16:54, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

The text "roses and raindrops" doesn't even appear in the lyrics of that song... Fram (talk) 17:17, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
Ahh, well I'm a fag. Googled it. Misheard the lyrics wrong. You're right, Fram, the correct line is;
There are no raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses
Gaslighted by my own poor hearing. Have a good day! I won't contest the deletion. (Babysharkboss2) 17:22, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

Estimated date of birth proposal

Hello, A recent edit removed the proposed birth date for Billy Butcher (June 1st, 1972) without providing any justification. This addition was based on objective elements — including the age of actor Karl Urban, the timeline of the series, and recurring discussions among fans. In the absence of any official canon information, it seems reasonable to mention an estimated date, clearly stated as such and open to discussion. Please respect the collaborative nature of this platform. I suggest reinstating the information in a neutral and properly contextualized manner.

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for: Relisting Bottom Live 2001: An Arse Oddity for deletion. The issue here is that it was AfD'd on May 5th, before the 7 day period. Second, you're the nominator, and per rules you can't relist your own AfD. See WP:RELIST. AnonymousScholar49 (talk) 13:17, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

I have reverted the relist. AnonymousScholar49 (talk) 13:20, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Persistent disruption at Talk:Donald Trump using OneClickArchiver

How many times must you be reverted before you get the point? Is current consensus item 13 unclear? If you continue, it will become worth my time to take the issue to WP:ANI. Please find something better to do with your time. Mandruss  IMO. 16:57, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

How about grilled?

About your "IP" snark at the Indo-Pak crisis: we are human too. (plus, technically, you are an IP concealed behind a username.) Believe it or not, this isn't my first rodeo on this site. Just because I can't be bothered to make an account doesn't mean I'm trying to vandalize.

Now, maybe you thought I was some Indian IT cell (based in New England, no less). I know geopol conflicts can become battlegrounds for the wikipedia warriors, so I understand the suspicion. I also get my little comment was unsourced, so if you removed it because of that just say so. I'm not a vandal and I'm not trying to push a narrative, just trying to curb misinformation (which itself is vague in the fog of war). The strikes were carried out with surface-launched missiles, so I'm rather curious how Pakistan shot down non-existent jets.

What I'm trying to say is, I'm fine with the removal of my comment, even if it may have been correct. Just don't IP-shame me, man. 128.148.204.3 (talk) 18:15, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Hey! I am currently rewriting the article and naturally some of the refs seem removed, but i have saved them to add in the text later. Please do not revert, i have not finished yet. 190.93.81.168 (talk) 19:26, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Babysharkboss2 (talk · contribs) Hi! I wanted to ask you about my recent edits to the article and your reverting them. Can you please explain what was wrong with the edits I did and also what does your commend ROMANIA mean? I feel lost to be honest, as I don't think my edits were vandalism or unconstructive. I would appreciate your explanation. Thank you! 190.93.81.168 (talk) 11:39, 15 May 2025 (UTC)

I suggest you just ignore that disruptive IP. You're right and they're wrong but arguing with them is probably a waste of your time and patience. They can clutter the AfD with comments but it won't affect the outcome at all. Thanks for contributing and caring. --A. B. (talkcontribsglobal count) 19:00, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Stop feeding trolls

There's no need to engage in back-and-forths with vandals on their talk pages. They want attention and you're giving it to them, which is counterproductive. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:26, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Edit summaries

(comment in non-admin capacity) Could you please explain these edit summaries? "FEMBOY" & "COCK" -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 18:03, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Thought it was funny. Funny in the moment. In hindsight: messing with an IP that I knew would be banned either way is not worth being disruptive. (Babysharkboss2) 18:09, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Don't do that again. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:58, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Weird Al

Hey so about that part where you removed the summary of the Albuquerque: Reanimated part; why? It states that it became an internet meme in 2024 without any explanation as to how it became one in the first place, so I added an edit in which it explains what the collab was and who was involved in it and how it springboarded the popularity of the meme in the first place, yet you removed it all. I just wanted to know why, that's all. 2600:4040:7308:D300:75FA:6963:FA6:7969 (talk) 19:10, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

No source (Babysharkboss2) 19:16, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
What do you mean by source JusTFalco (talk) 19:19, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
You provided no source proving the animation you made left a lasting impact. The fact a discord server has 350 members isn't notable. (Babysharkboss2) 19:23, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
You could have just told me to remove the Discord server part and to prove what I added instead of deleting the entire thing, which I'll gladly do JusTFalco (talk) 19:27, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Also i'd like to add I didn't *make* the animation, but 100 other people did, I just edited the video to publish it JusTFalco (talk) 19:33, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
And surely you never watched a reanimated collab before. JusTFalco (talk) 19:39, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
@JusTFalco: I'm moving your complaint into it's own section, as my reverting has nothing to do with the warning I was given above. (Babysharkboss2)

International Pirate Day

Hi there, I'm new to Wikipedia so I hope I'm doing this alright. I contacted the city of Nijmegen by mail to confirm if the day is happening, and they told me they couldn't find anything about it. The source leads to Nijmegen.lol, a website that appears to be fake (it was created on October 3th 2024, the day itself, according to Wayback Machine). It talks about events taking place in Doornroosje and De Stevenskerk, but neither of them have any information about it online, not even when you add the date. Yarnick182 (talk) 20:02, 20 May 2025 (UTC)Yarnick182

Babysharkboss2, you are responsible for checking sources if you're going to revert a removal. This doesn't really make sense as there aren't going to be sources outlining all of the things a city does not celebrate, and the source makes no claim that it is celebrated yearly. The other source doesn't mention talk like a pirate day at all. You must be more careful. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:49, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

Here is Wikipedia's welcome page, and it is hoped that you will assume the good faith of other editors and continue to help us improve Wikipedia! Hey there Babysharkboss2! leaving this message on your talk page to notify you of some colorful language you used while participating in the AfD discussion for Air Panamá Flight 982 just letting you know, this language is generally frowned upon in a casual conversation and does not show good faith. User:Grffffff also had the same problem in this discussion and will most likely be notified as well for the use of strong language. Also remember to follow the formal language policy!

Appreciate your time if you see this

(talk page watcher) @Lolzer3000. There is no rule against "strong language", nor a "formal language policy". Please don't make up shit like that. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 11:33, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
@Tamzin Apologies for the mistake about the "formal language policy" it was a last second addition, strong language is not formal whatsoever and should be contained to casual conversation and not used during a formal and civil discussion. It brings a level of unprofessionalism that shouldn't be explored during debates such as the one linked above. lolzer3k (talk) 18:20, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
You are entitled to that opinion. It is not an enforceable user conduct rule, however, so please don't tell warn people as if it is. "Not every. fucking. airplan crash. needs. an article." is not, by any means, a good comment, but it's also not a civility or AGF violation. People are allowed to curse here. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 18:30, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
@Tamzin Don't want to drag the conversation on any longer, I appreciate your civility, this wasn't a proper warning as I didn't want to place that on this person's record, this was a general note of something. I appreciate your guidance. lolzer3k (talk) 18:35, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
