Wikipedia usage clarifications
editHi Avantgarde1111 welcome to wikipedia and thanks for your contributions. I wanted to clarify a couple things as I think you have great potential to improve wikipedia pages and are acting in good faith.
First, wikipedia operates on a system of guidelines (not rules). I strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with these as other give you the links. The guidelines like WP:V say at the top of the page that they are guidelines.
In regards to content, the guidelines WP:RS, WP:PRIMARY, and WP:BLOGS indicate that claims (a technical term for the content of WP articles) should be backed by secondary sources. For example this means that we should not use an author's book or blog for assessing the importance of that author on a subject. Instead I recommend WP:SECONDARY sources from places like JSTOR which you will be able to access via WP:TWL after doing a bit more editing.
In regards to behavior, I think you are operating in good faith and I do not mean to accuse you of anything. However, I would like you to be aware that Wikipedia has behavioral guidelines like WP:CIVIL which preclude name calling in edit summaries or elsewhere. Failure to follow these can result in adverse action against your account by administrators. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Neo-feudalism. In spite of the warning issued above, you continued your edit-warring using the WP:LOUTSOCK 66.130.139.57. That IP has now been blocked, and you will be as well if you cause any more disruption. - Hey @Favonian: I was the editor that Aventgarde1111 was edit warring with. I personally think this was too quick of an escalation in light of WP:BITE, but I also recognize that you have more experience in this area. Maybe I am taking WP:AGF too far but I still think Avantgarde1111 could be a valuable contributor to WP. I know this is not a proper appeal, but given that they are a new editor I ask that you lower the block possibly to 0 or 24 hours. Czarking0 (talk) 01:51, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am new to this. But everything I have posted is accurate and should be re-established upon the neo-feudalism page. Favonian was too cruel to block so quickly considering I am still learning the ropes on Wikipedia. I would have edited more Wikipedia pages, but, I felt I was not enough an expert as I am with Michel Luc Bellemare's history and work. And I knew, people would be unfairly picking on this Indigenous political-economist, Michel Luc Bellemare, simply for his heritage and his economic point of view. Michel Luc Bellemare is the victim here, who is being persecuted, for his economic theory. Please reinstate Avantgarde1111, so I can right an undo harm on Michel Luc Bellemare, whose ideas and history, which belongs on the neo-feudalist page, are currently being erased and deleted from the internet, due to his Indigenous economic stance.

This unblock request unfortunately convinces me that you will return to the same behaviour that caused the block in the first place. - I Avantgarde1111 I think this would make a more compelling block appeal if you, in the appeal, indicated that you have read, understood, and intent to comply with guidelines like WP:PRIMARY and WP:CIVIL and apologized for uncivil edits.
