Your submission at Articles for creation: List of acquisitions by Samsung (January 15)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Memer15151 was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Wikipedia:Notability states that a standalone list is usually "considered notable is if it has been discussed as a group or set by independent reliable sources" and that notability "is based on the group". All of the independent sources listed discuss individual acquisitions, but not the group of acquired subsidiaries itself. If enough sources that contribute to notability exist that document the topic of Samsung subsidiaries in general, then this article can be reconsidered. I should also point out that the Samsung article already includes a section related to this exact topic.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Information icon Hi Ash.tahno! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Stellantis and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Onorem (talk) 23:05, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Onorem I will take note of this in the future Ash.tahno (talk) 23:10, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Apex Legends characters

edit

Hey, I noticed that you seem interested in Apex Legends as a topic. Would you be willing to look over the articles Loba and Catalyst to tell me if there's anything glaring I've either overlooked or got wrong? Cukie Gherkin (talk) 21:40, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for reaching out. There was actually quite a lot more background detail than I expected. I would say, though, that only referring to the characters' abilities vaguely is a miss in a game that revolves largely around using said abilities. I added descriptions and names of those in. Ash.tahno (talk) 00:44, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the input. On Catalyst, I made changes to ensure that it reads more encyclopedic. Since you're new, a helpful guide to refer to is WP:NOTAGUIDE. Also, when citing gameplay mechanics like abilities, you should make sure to cite reliable secondary sources rather than primary sources (like the Apex Legends site) to verify the info. The way it was written as a list, it feels like something there to provide assistance for a fan of Catalyst, but the content should be written with an uninformed reader in mind. Could you try rewriting Loba's abilities to match how Catalyst's are written in the latest edit? - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 07:09, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reference material. I reformatted the abilities and added a secondary source. However, I do not understand what you mean by "to provide assistance for a fan of Catalyst" or informed readers. These abilities are very basic "main actions" in Apex, as every character has some form of them. One does not need to be a fan to any degree to make use of the information. I was not diving into any detailed cross-interaction effects with other abilities, distances/timings/durability, or their strengths/weaknesses, etc. Also, the categorization of abilities is not particularly unique to this game either. Uninformed readers can still grasp that there are differently named types of abilities without the need to understand the tendencies of each category. Ash.tahno (talk) 15:28, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
The main thing is one of three things::
  1. The information is of the utmost importance to understanding a character (were it not for the fact that Apex has a competitive scene, I'd say that Catalyst and Loba are adequately covered by explaining the general theme of their gameplay, Catalyst being a defensive character who utilizes ferrofluid and Loba being a character who specializes in detecting rare treasure. By comparison, a Final Fantasy character article shouldn't mention the various spells they can use in general because what's important is the detail that they can use spells, not what those spells are)
  2. The character's abilities are important to understanding the plot (for example, Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) mentions Meteor because it is plot relevant)
  3. There is reception specifically about a character's abilities - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 21:20, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
  1. If you are going by such a standard, I am confused at how detailing what an Apex season is in the character article (when the Apex Legends article exists) is of "utmost importance" in comparison, especially when there is no source to support this action.
  2. Although my knowledge on FF is limited, I do not think Final Fantasy is a comparable example in terms of the significance of understanding plot.
  3. I added secondary sources reacting to the abilities. Hope they satisfy this condition.
  4. I was just responding to your criticisms because they did not make sense to me but you diverted the conversation. If you are speculating on the lack of need in an alternate reality without the competitive scene, I am not sure why you need to argue against this in reality. I am not interested in continuing this conversation, as it is clearly unproductive.
Ash.tahno (talk) 01:37, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm giving you advice, not criticism, and trying to explain how Wikipedia tends to work. If your goal is productivity, viewing people as antagonists for trying to explain something to you isn't going to make editing Wikipedia a pleasant experience. Cukie Gherkin (talk) 02:46, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't really care if you call it advice or criticism. I am open to both, and have clearly tried to incorporate whichever of the two it was. I do not think criticism has to be antagonizing.
But you have insisted on ignoring my points when I took the time to engage with what you brought up individually. Your approach is structurally condescending. Blaming the receiving end of a monologue for feeling antagonized when they did not suggest such a thing is an incredible level of projection. This has, frankly, been the most unpleasant experience I have had on Wikipedia so far, and I will not let you gaslight me into thinking it is my fault. You are not being antagonizing for trying to explain something to me, but because of your attitude. Ash.tahno (talk) 21:52, 17 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Goodness Cukie Gherkin (talk) 17:49, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Again, you only prove my point. This is a waste of time. Please do not come back to my talk page. Ash.tahno (talk) 21:28, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
