Hello! Thanks for adding shortcuts to the page Template:Citation needed/doc, however:

1. Minor edits are things like fixing typos. Any edit that adds content is not minor, even if it's only a single word.
2. Six shortcuts is excessive. Per WP:Shortcut boxes, they "generally should list only the most common and easily remembered redirects". I converted some of them to {{Template redirects}} and removed one that was just a variation of the main title.

BTW, you mentioned that you "found" these shortcuts. If you're not aware, you can actually list all of them by going to "what links here" and hiding transclusions and links: direct link. There's 84 in total.

Oh, I forgot to do an actual usage analysis. The ones you added are used an order of magnitude less, so I removed them entirely. If you wanted to recommend adding them back, you could post on the talk page there. For example, hypothetically you could argue that some are phrased better than the existing ones. — W.andrea (talk) 17:11, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Those edits were made when I was still fairly new with shortcuts. I’ve known that redirects were able to be added to documentation pages for a while now.

I’ve also known that for a while now, but I instead add ?action=info to a page I want to view redirects and such for. (That’s how I found most of the shortcuts originally, anyway.)

Like I said above, I was still fairly new to adding shortcuts to pages, so at the time, I wasn’t aware of this. I don’t have any plans on adding them back to that, but if I did, I would go for something like Template:Cleanup/doc instead of adding several shortcuts.

I tend to mark the edit if I feel like the contribution isn‘t major, but I’ll take a look at the page you linked. I wasn’t aware of it until you messaged me.
