Notability?

@BOZ, @Sergecross73, @Vrxces. Just wondering if you wouldn't mind providing some feedback on this draft and whether you think it meets the relevant notability criteria? I would link the following sources at a venue like AfD:

I wrote a big essay but please ignore and potentially reach out to @Pokelego999: I'd call them a much better subject matter expert than me on this. My thoughts - seems to have some SIGCOV of Necrozma that extends out-of-universe to design context and reception, but the article's an enormous collation of any and all mentions of the Pokémon. It's diligently researched and compiled, but as a result obscures what coverage is reliable, significant, and deals with the key aspects of the topic, in a way that may be difficult for a non-player to understand. A lot of unreliable sources that typically are avoided, trivial mentions and minutiae. For instance, three of the sources you've mentioned above are unreliable or unknown, and the Famitsu isn't really in-depth. But then other sources seem to mention this Pokémon a lot. Again, I'm not a subject matter expert on this, but those are the sort of issues that jump out here. ＶＲＸＣＥＳ (talk) 10:42, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi! I've discussed this off-wiki with 11WB in the past. (Sorry about not responding to your previous query, 11WB, btw, I completely missed that). That being said, I'll shift my comments here for others to read: Per my previous discussion on this, I do still feel this is a bit non-notable as it stands since a lot of the sources are treading to weaker ends or are from unreliable sources (For instance the entire last paragraph of Reception is primarily just usage statistics or from unreliable sources like Smogon and GamePress). There's a few decent bits here (Namely the study) but the actual significant coverage is a bit buried within a lot of non SIGCOV coverage and on the whole just isn't enough for a whole article separate from the list at this point in time.

I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but I do still feel this just isn't quite ready yet. That being said, I'd definitely save it for the future in case some more Necrozma bits pop up if they choose to revisit it again. Thank you both for this feedback. I think I've found all there is to find at this point in time. Even with the Yusuke Murata collaboration it seems there isn't enough for an article. I will complete the draft nonetheless, and trim the sources into a final revision. Based on the feedback I've received, it would be nominated to AfD were I to move it into mainspace, so I won't do that. I'll keep an eye out for anything new, however unlikely.
