Teknuccio is the username of Michele Cati, an Italian contributor based in the Bolognese Apennines.
About me
editI live and work in the Bolognese Apennines, a territory that strongly influences my interest in places, landscapes, architecture and local history.
My contributions are mainly connected with the Tuscan–Emilian and Bolognese Apennines, especially places that I know directly, visit regularly or have studied through local publications, institutional sources and historical material.
I am not a specialist in a single narrow field. My interests include local history, cultural landscapes, mountain areas, architecture, art, historical buildings, sanctuaries, thermal sites, towns, families and historical figures connected with places and local identity.
Wikipedia interests
editOn Wikipedia, I am especially interested in improving the coverage of subjects that are culturally significant but still poorly represented in English-language sources.
My main areas of interest include:
- the Bolognese Apennines and the Tuscan–Emilian Apennines;
- local history and cultural geography;
- mountains, valleys, villages and historical settlements;
- sanctuaries, churches, castles and historical architecture;
- thermal sites and spa towns;
- people, families, architects and historical figures connected with places;
- cultural landscapes and places connected with memory, travel and identity.
How I contribute
editMany of the subjects I work on are connected with notes, bibliographies, documents and source collections that I had already gathered over the years, especially about places, people, buildings and historical contexts of the Apennines and surrounding areas.
My Wikipedia work often consists in reorganizing this material, checking it again against reliable published sources and turning it into structured, accessible articles for English-language readers.
I use digital tools to organize information, compare sources, manage notes, improve structure and refine language, but I review my edits manually and take responsibility for the sources, accuracy and final content I add.
I try to contribute in a neutral, verifiable and non-promotional way. Personal knowledge helps me identify relevant topics and possible gaps, but article content must always be based on reliable sources.
Photography and work
editOutside Wikipedia, I work as an independent IT professional and I am also active in photography and hospitality in the Bolognese Apennines.
Photography is an important part of my way of observing the world. My work moves between everyday photography, travel, landscape, architecture, mountain areas, urban spaces and fine-art printing, with an interest in simple compositions, real places and images connected to lived experience.
