The Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C) is a center of the United States Army tasked with AI developments. The center is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
AI2C is a center of the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). DEVCOM is under the Futures and Concepts Command, which is part of the Transformation and Training Command.
History
editOn 2 October 2018, the Army Artificial Intelligence Task Force (AITF) was established.[1] The AITF was under the Army Futures Command. AITF was approved to become the Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C) in October 2020.[2][3] As of 2024, AI2C was a direct report to a deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Futures Command.[4][5]
Operations
editAI2C performs workforce development when making new AI products.[6]
The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) may issue contracts on behalf of AI2C.[7]
