Jimena de la Frontera (Spanish: [xi'mena ðe la fɾon'teɾa]), commonly referred to as simply Jimena, is a town and municipality in the province of Cádiz, within the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It forms part of the Campo de Gibraltar and lies on the eastern edge of the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, to which nearly two-thirds of its territory belongs. As of 2024, the municipality has a population of 6,788, distributed across its main town and the municipal districts of Los Ángeles, San Pablo de Buceite, and Marchenilla.
The town is nestled in a mountainous area between the Serranía de Ronda and the Bay of Algeciras, where the surrounding landscape is characterized by cork oak forests and rolling hills. The Hozgarganta River, a tributary of the Guadiaro, is the main river of the municipality and is often considered the last wild river of Andalusia.
