I have been contributing to Wikipedia since 2005. As a member of the TCHC and TASN a principal interest is contributing to Texas history, and in particular a focus on the accuracy of information on Wikipedia that might be used by cities (Austin and others), counties (Travis and others), state (Texas and others), non-profits, and private citizens, for example for historical marker applications, historic signage, Native American history / land acknowledgments, websites, brochures, etc.
In my capacity with TCHC and TASN I have collaborated on projects with Texas Historical Commission (THC), Travis County Parks, Travis County IT GIS, Travis County Archives, Austin Historic Preservation Office, Austin Parks & Recreation, Austin Watershed Protection, TxDOT, Texas Historic Tree Coalition, Comanche Nation Elder Council, El Camino Real de los Tejas Nat’l Historic Trail Assoc / National Park Service, Preservation Austin, Austin American-Statesman newspaper, University of Texas Anthropology's Indigenous Studies department, and private citizens and non-profits like Travis Audubon and Friends of Nameless School.
My work with TCHC and TASN is volunteer only; I have no financial gain, direct or indirect, from any of my edits. My edits have nothing to do with the TCHC, THC, or TASN, their members, or their internal business. My Wikipedia account, dating to 2005, is entirely my own personal account; it is not a shared account.
