edit

Rumi over the course of the film has trouble in terms of self-acceptance in terms of identity and dealing with shame. As initially while singing well at first with the other members, her patterns start to show which signify her lack of self-acceptance.

Her patterns over the course of the film kept growing due to her constant need of suppression and the urge to hide her patterns from her peers. This led to father distrust amongst the group as Zoey and Mira wonder why Rumi acts strange than here usual behavior.

Meanwhile, as Rumi converses with Jinu. She slowly learns to accept herself for she truly is rather than to hide her patterns. She learns to embrace it more willingly. Jinu while tells his story to her, Rumi starts to understand Jinu's perspective more and how both have similar struggles and that their embrace helps each other's issues.

As the Idol Awards draws near, Rumi requested Jinu to help her and in return Jinu can be free from his patterns and his hearing to Gwi-Ma. Jinu reluctant at first, decides to go along with her plan. Only later to sabotage her instead using the song Takedown exposing her patterns on stage and causing distrust to Mira and Zoey.

Rumi then goes to Celine where the Honmoon originates. Rumi then tells her strategy failed, and her attempts to hide her patterns backfired massively. Celine then tries to reassure her that despite the failure she should keep on hiding her patterns. Rumi disagrees and states that hiding only caused more problems than it solves and runs off back to the stadium.

After the Saja Boys sang the song: Your Idol, Rumi then comes back and sings What it Sounds Like. In which she tells her other friends that it was a mistake that she tried to hide her patterns and that she should had been more honest from the start. Zoey and Mira then chimed in, beating back the Saja Boys. However, just when Gwi-Ma is about to finish Rumi. Jinu decides to sacrifice himself empowering the girls to keep on fighting.

Jinu's sacrifice then gives the girls enough strength to defeat Gwi-Ma as Rumi finally accepts herself and the Honmoon becomes iridescent.
