The 2018–19 CONCACAF SuperLiga will be the 13th season of North America's secondary club football tournament organised by CONCACAF.
The 2019 CONCACAF SuperLiga Final will be played at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Association team allocation
editA total of 191 teams from all 40 CONCACAF member associations, and 22 invitee associations geographically located in Noth America are expected to participate in the 2017–18 CONCACAF SuperLiga. The association ranking based on the CONCACAF country coefficients is used to determine the number of participating teams for each association:
- Associations 1–43 each have three teams qualify.
- Associations 44–50 each have two teams qualify.
- Associations 52–54 each have two teams qualify.
- Associations 55–62 each have one team qualify.
- Moreover, five teams qualify based on CONCACAF Fair Play ranking, which is measured by association clubs that have the highest displinary scores. The top five associations send a team with the best domestic fair play ranking that has not already qualified for North American competitions.
- Moreover, 33 teams eliminated from the 2017–18 CONCACAF Champions League are transferred to the SuperLiga.
Association ranking
editFor the 2018–19 CONCACAF SuperLiga, the associations are allocated places according to their 2017 CONCACAF country coefficients, which takes into account their performance in North American competitions from 2011–12 to 2016–17.
Apart from the allocation based on the country coefficients, associations may have additional teams participating in the Champions League, as noted below:
- (CL) – Additional berth for Champions League participants
- (FP) – Additional berth for Fair Play/Invitee participants

- ^ Barbados (BRB): Notre Dame qualified for the SuperLiga in the vacated 2017 Barbados FA Cup spot, which was won by Weymouth Wales, who qualified for the 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League by winning the 2017 Barbados Premier Division.
- ^ Canada (CAN): Oakville Blue Devils took the spot of the vacated FC Edmonton, who withdrew from the tournament after folding.
- ^ Guadeloupe (GPE): USR qualified for the SuperLiga in the vacated 2017 Coupe de Guadeloupe spot, which was won by Moulien, who qualified for the 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League by winning the 2017–18 Guadeloupe Division of Honor.

- ^ Quebec (QBC): Mont-Royal Outremont qualified for the SuperLiga in the vacated 2017 PLSQ Cup spot, which was won by Blainville, who qualified for the 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League by winning the 2017 Première Ligue de soccer du Québec season.

- ^ United States (USA):
- The Supporters Shield and MLS Cup was won by Toronto FC, a Canadian club, which caused reallocation of American club berths in the Champions League, allowing the Portland Timbers to transfer from the SuperLiga to the Champions League
- The reallocation of teams allowed 9th place finishers, New York Red Bulls to earn a group stage berth, and allowed Portland Timbers to qualify for the SuperLiga on the virtue of having the best regular season record of American-based MLS clubs to have not already qualified for CONCACAF competitions.

Knockout stage
edit- Main article: 2018–19 CONCACAF SuperLiga knockout phase
In the knockout phase, teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis, except for the one-match final. The mechanism of the draws for each round is as follows:
The mechanism of the draws for each round is as follows:
- In the draw for the round of 32, the twelve group winners and the four third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage with the better group records are seeded, and the twelve group runners-up and the other four third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage are unseeded. The seeded teams are drawn against the unseeded teams, with the seeded teams hosting the second leg. Teams from the same group or the same association cannot be drawn against each other.
- In the draws for the round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, there are no seedings, and teams from the same group or the same association can be drawn against each other. As the draws for the quarter-finals and semi-finals are held together before the quarter-finals are played, the identity of the quarter-final winners is not known at the time of the semi-final draw. A draw is also held to determine which semi-final winner is designated as the "home" team for the final (for administrative purposes as it is played at a neutral venue).
Round of 32
