↑ It's a region where you'll find a castle or a ruin on every corner, alongside world-class fossils and nature reserves like meadow orchards . Okay, this is my favourite: & forests without end. We celebrate 'strange' traditions like the Funkenfeuer , Narrensprung ( + for adults only & ()), or the Ulm Nabada – and our dialect is just as colorful as the landscape of the Danube Valley & the fens of Upper Swabia, where I was born . It's even home to the world's oldest art, the Lion-man found in our local caves . Okay, our sense of humour is strange: , I agree, but I love it because it symbolises my origins, and we have a lot of Blues like all immigrant countries: . Swabians are a cultural and ethnic mix, always have been! We are "The Länd": – where our motto is: "We can do everything... except speak standard German" .^[1] So I'll try it with English instead!
