The Republic of Aceh (Indonesian: Republik Aceh) was a de facto independent state established by Hasan di Tiro that lasted from 1976 to 2005, under the Free Aceh Movement. The now dissolved republic is a part of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization, along with West Papua.

The republic was founded by Hasan di Tiro, protesting his dissatisfaction towards the Indonesian government. During the Aceh Tsunami in 2004, both the Acehnese and Indonesian people suffered dearly, and Tiro, seeing Aceh in ruins, decided to make peace with Indonesia in 2005.
