Hello and welcome to my page! Here you will find information about me and what I am working on.

Biography

edit

I consider myself an avid Canadian train enthusiast interested in the rail history of British Columbia. My favourite locomotive is Canadian Pacific No. 2860, a 4-6-4 "Royal Hudson" class steam locomotive known for hauling its daily excursion service between North Vancouver and Squamish from 1974 to 1999. Though most of my research time has been focused on this engine, I am also interested in Canadian Pacific No. 3716 and Canadian National No. 6060.

Outside of trains, I enjoy collecting and listening to music from The Beatles, Wings, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Queen, Gordon Lightfoot, The Turtles, and Frank Sinatra.

Projects

edit

My primary wiki projects are to:

  • Create and improve articles related to Canadian railways and locomotives, more specifically those of British Columbia.
  • Update older, outdated, or unthorough pages for topics I am knowledgeable on.
  • Increase the general coverage of British Columbia history.

Sandbox projects

edit

User:MarcoD99/sandbox: This is my main sandbox for simple projects, experimentation and testing templates. Nothing much.

User:MarcoD99/pagesandbox: This sandbox is dedicated to creating pages or working on long-term wiki projects. Here I develop full article drafts for future use in the mainspace.
