My name is Fran, but I am also known by others as Paco, Disco, and Kunga Samten (Tibetan: ཀུང་དགའ་བསམ་གཏན།, Wylie: kunga dga' bsam gtan). I was born on a Friday afternoon, in the barrio of Santurce, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I grew up in a peaceful hilly area of northern Caguas, just south of San Juan, and went to college at La UPI. Having previously lived and worked in Paris, Kyiv and the San Francisco Bay Area, I have experience in Romance languages, second-language education (French), linguistics and political science.
