Lev Lafayette, BA (Hons), GradCertPM, GradCertAdult&TertEd, GradDipAppPsych, MBA, MSc, MHEd, MCCSAP, is a High Performance Computing systems administrator and educator by vocation, an old-school RPG gamer for recreation, and collects degrees for fun and profit.

His education includes a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy, and Sociology, and a Graduate Certificate in Adult and Higher Education, both from Murdoch University. In addition, he also has an MBA (Technology) and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the Chifley Business School, an MSc (Information Systems) from Salford University, an MHEd from the University of Otago, and a Master's in Climate Change Science and Policy from Victoria University of Wellington. He is currently doing a PhD in Climatology and Sustainability at the UN Treaty Organisation, Euclide University.

He works at the University of Melbourne as a high performance computing systems administrator and postgraduate trainer. Before that, he held a similar role at the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing (VPAC) for 8 years. He has also worked for the Parliament of Victoria as a database administrator and trainer, and for East Timor's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as their ICT Advisor in their first year of independence. He served as president of Linux Users Victoria for four years, and as founding president of the Isocracy Network, the Victorian Secular Lobby, and the RPG Review Cooperative.
