The company was formed around 2003 by Victor Maznyuk as a side project of WEB100 Technologies - a software and internet solutions development initiative.

In 2010, QATestLab launched its educational project, QATestLab Training Center. Currently, the center provides four training courses, some of which are studied in Ukrainian universities: "Fundamentals of Software Testing," "Software Testing: Basics and Practice," "English for a Technical Interview Preparing," and "English for QA. History

edit

QATestLab originated as a testing division of WEB100 Technologies, a software development company. In 2005, it became an independent entity, focusing on software quality assurance. Initially, most of its operations were based in Ukraine, with offices established in Cherkasy, Uzhhorod, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kryvyi Rih. Over the years, the company expanded its reach to Central and Western Europe, opening offices in the UK, France, and Poland and hiring remote employees in Italy and Germany.

In 2010, QATestLab launched the QATestLab Training Center, an educational initiative to prepare future software testers. The training center offers multiple courses, including "Fundamentals of Software Testing," "Software Testing: Basics and Practice," "English for a Technical Interview Preparing," and "English for QA. First Steps." Some of these courses are incorporated into the curriculum of Ukrainian universities. The center has trained over 74,000 students, with more than 13,000 receiving certification upon completion.

The company expanded its services in 2012 by introducing a dedicated game testing department, which focuses on testing video games across multiple platforms, including PC, VR, and mobile. The department specializes in content testing, beta testing, localization testing, functional testing, compatibility testing, and compliance testing.

In 2015, QATestLab management established the service vision that's utilized today, with four main departments: e-commerce testing, web testing, mobile testing, and game testing. Three years later, in 2018, the company launched an automated testing department that branched off the e-commerce department and aimed at providing automation in regression, integration, and end-to-end testing, among other areas.

On the 6th of March, 2017, QATestLab opened its first representative office in the United Kingdom in the city of Cirencester. This expansion led to further growth in the European market, with new R&D centers opening in France and Poland and remote employees being hired from Italy and Germany.

In October 2024, QATestLab was profiled in the "IoT Testing Services Market" report as one of the major of companies in the IoT Testing Services market. [2]

Training Center

edit

QATestLab started its educational efforts around 2008 by launching several internal training courses. 2010, the company created a training center with the first online course, "Fundamentals of Software Testing." In 2016, QATestLab initiated two more classes: "Fundamentals of Automation Testing for Web Applications" and "Fundamentals of Game Testing."

Since the initiative's launch, over 74,000 students have been enrolled, and over 13,000 certifications have been handed in for successful completion of the courses. The courses are also spread among Ukrainian universities, including The Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy[3], National University of Ostroh Academy[4], Donetsk National University, Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University, etc.

At the moment, the Training Center provides four regular courses: "Fundamentals of Software Testing," "Software Testing: Basics and Practice," "English for a Technical Interview Preparing," and "English for QA. First Steps". The students of each course are rewarded with a Certificate of Completion.
