The United States held its presidential election on May 5, 2025, to elect the president and vice president for a 6 month term ending on November 10, 2025. A 2nd round was held on May 9th as no candidate won a majority of votes. Candidates were allowed to declare their candidacies between March 4th and March 20th, and the primaries were held from March 21st and April 2nd, with nomination day on April 4th.

In the 1st round, AJ Styles of the Freedom party narrowly defeated Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson of the PORK party. However, Styles did not win enough electoral votes to be elected president, and will face off against Johnson in the 2nd round on May 9th. Jimmy Uso placed 3rd, and if he had won California he would’ve beaten Johnson and faced off against Styles. However, Johnson won California, and Uso lost the election. Shortly after the results were announced, Uso conceded defeat and endorsed Styles.

Styles and Johnson faced a head-to-head rematch on May 9th, which Styles handily won. Styles will be inaugurated as President of the United States on May 10th, with a term lasting 6 months, until November 10th, 2025.

Background

edit

James Porkinstein won the 2024 election alongside Logan Paul, defeating Detsalb Jr. and his running mate, Keanu Reeves.

On January 2nd, 2025, Porkinstein fired Vice President Paul and replaced him with former WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Porkinstein died on January 25th and McMahon succeeded him as president.

On March 4th, the first day of candidates being allowed to declare runs, President Vince McMahon attempted to postpone the election until June-July, citing lack of funds, but the Supreme Court overturned it 30 minutes later and ruled that the election must carry on as normal, which McMahon respected.
