Ivar A. Fahsing (born 1968) is a Detective Superintendent and Assistant Professor at the Norwegian Police University College. He is doing research in the fields of investigative interviewing, eyewitness testimony, detective skills, knowledge management and organized crime. He is used as expert-witness in courts and has for several years conducted training of law-enforcement personnel in Northern Europe. He has 15 years of experience as a homicide detective in the Oslo Police department and at the National Criminal Investigation Service of Norway. He has published several books ant scientific articles on criminal investigation, investigative interviewing and organized crime.
