Daniella Mestyanek Young is an American author, activist, and public speaker. As a third-generation member of the the Children of God religious cult, she was excommunicated at the age of 15. She now goes by the Knitting Cult Lady on various online social media platforms, where she discusses cults and other extremist groups while knitting and speaking directly to a camera.

She has written two books on the subject of cults: Uncultured: A Memoir, published in 2022, and The Culting of America: What Make a Cult and Why We Love Them, published in 2026. A chapter from Uncultured was featured in Rolling Stone on September 17, 2022.[1]
