Prodigy Design Limited, operating as PikPok, is a video game developer and publisher headquartered in Wellington, New Zealand[1]. The company is a developer and publisher of mobile (iOS, Android), PC, and console games, which have generated over 500 million game downloads worldwide. It is most known for its zombie-horror game franchise, Into the Dead, and horse game franchise, Rival Stars Horse Racing[2].
History
editEstablished in 1997[2], the company originally operated under the name Sidhe. As Sidhe, it primarily performed contract work developing for overseas game publishers[3]. It partnered with Adult Swim to produce a number of games, including Robot Unicorn Attack 2, Giant Boulder of Death, Monsters Ate My Condo and its sequel Super Monsters Ate My Condo.[4]
In 2012, it introduced a mobile gaming focused brand, PikPok, which later became the company's primary identity.[5] Operating as PikPok, it partnered with DreamWorks Animation to deliver Turbo Racing League (later renamed Turbo FAST).[6]
PikPok supported the introduction of the Game Development Sector Rebate by New Zealand's Labour government in 2023[1].
In 2026, PikPok was awarded name ASB Exporter of the Year at the ExportNZ ASB Central Region Export Awards "in recognition of its international success and contribution to New Zealand’s wider gaming and interactive media sector[7]."
