Native American Dogs

edit

Introduction

edit

Native American dogs, or Pre-Columbian dogs, were dogs living with people indigenous to the Americas. Presumably arriving about 10,000 years ago with early human migrants from Asia, they are now almost completely extinct with the exception of a small handful of breeds such as Alaskan Malamutes, and Greenland Dogs.[1]
