Ongoing project: Playlists
editI am currently working on generating playlists automatically instead of updating them manually on Swedish Wikipedia, but it could also make work easier for other wikis if similar pages were created there as well. Then maintenance would become very easy of game lists.
Background
editKeeping playlists updated manually is very time-consuming, especially when the same or similar lists need to exist in several languages. If the lists can be dated and structured in the same way across multiple language versions, the work becomes significantly easier and more consistent.
Purpose
editThe purpose of the project is to explore and improve the possibility of creating and updating playlists in a more automated way.
The goal is to:
reduce the amount of manual work, make it easier to keep the lists up to date, use a more uniform structure, make it easier to work with lists in several languages, reduce the risk of errors during manual updates.
Ongoing work
editRight now, I am working on:
developing a structure for how the playlists should be organized, reviewing how dates and updates can be handled, comparing how similar lists are used in different language versions, investigating which parts can be generated automatically.
