I am David Ratmoko, a literary scholar and translator based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Disclosure

I have a conflict of interest regarding any article about myself or about Metro Models, the Zurich-based modelling agency I founded in 2010. In accordance with Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, I will not edit such articles directly. I am preparing a draft autobiography for review through Wikipedia:Articles for creation and will submit it via that process. I disclose this openly so that other editors can evaluate my contributions accordingly.

Background

I hold a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Zurich (2002) and was a postdoctoral fellow in Comparative Literature at Yale University (2005). My published work includes a monograph with Peter Lang (On Spectrality, 2006) and an English translation of Jacob Taubes's Occidental Eschatology (Stanford University Press, 2009).

Areas of contribution

Outside of articles where I have a conflict of interest, I contribute on topics including continental philosophy, twentieth-century literary theory, German–English translation, and Swiss cultural institutions.
