My name is Joe Toscano. I'm a cognitive scientist at the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research focuses on understanding how human listeners perceive speech. I use several approaches to study this, including event-related brain potential and eye tracking techniques, as well as computational models that simulate the processes involved in recognizing speech.
